Nice DP. Pitchers mess that up so often.

Nootbaar takes a sinker below the outer 3rd, 1-0 Sinker on the low outside corner, fouled, 1-1 Foul tips a diving splitter, near middle, Curve on the corner away, tapped back to Stroman, he immediately wheels to 2nd for the force, and Volpe's relay beats the speedy Nootbaar by a 1/2 step, the 1-6-3 DP ends the inning. Nicely turned against a fast lefty batter.
Bottom 6, 4-2 Yanks. 8 pitches in the 6th, 83 through 6 and just 22 in the last 3 innings. Judge, Wells and Stanton for the Yanks in their half of the 6th.

Judge takes a cutter in the zone down and in, 0-1 Sinker dives inside, swung over, 0-2 Takes a slider well outside, 1-2 Takes another well outside near the bottom, 2-2 Judge pulls off the waist high sinker near the corner away, and K's for the 2nd time, 1 down.

Well, he was white hot for 4 months. Had to stop some time. Hope he finds it again without having to go through another bad month. Might even need a day off somewhere in here.

John King, the ex-CNN host, in to relieve Fedde. I'm glad he found a 2nd career....
What? Oh. Never mind.

Off topic, but oh man, I just heard about Johnny Gaudreau. That is absolutely heart breaking. Being an Ohio guy, I've always rooted for the Blue Jackets and even bought a Gaudreau jersey when they signed him two years ago. Drunk drivers are subhuman.

Stanton takes a change at the knees, inside middle, 0-1 Takes a sinker low, 1-1 Takes a sinker down and in, 2-2 Swings over a change going well low, inner half, 2-2 Hits the low outside corner, barely for the ꓘ, Stanton doesn't like the call, but it was 5-10% on Gameday. Inning over.
Top 7, 4-2 Yanks and Cousins might be coming in here.

Yeah, he's been in God Mode forever. Had to cool off a bit at some point. A day off/maintenance day could probably serve him well.

Prayers for him and his brother's families.
