Up to Soto. This would be the kind of come from behind wins that championship teams win. Fb below the top at 102, ripped into the RF corner for a 2 out double. and boy oh boy, I wish Cabrera had been given a chance at 3-2.Well said.

Judge was 0-2 vs. Helsley with a K before the Cards IBBed him. Wells gets his chance, he's never faced Helsley before

Pitching coach goes out to talk to Helsley. Nothing to talk about...Judge HAS to be walked here.

Starts on a bounced slider, checks in time, Bucknor doesn't a$$ is up, as usual, ball 1. FB inside corner and he's all over it, lining it hard but foul down the right side, thought it was a game tying double off the bat.

That "pretend" pep talk on the mound was done so as not to make the fans boo as loudly when they walked Judge intentionally.

Big breaking curve drops into the top, 1-2. Bounces a slider, Herrera blocks and prevents the WP, 2-2. Slider outside by 5-6 inches, ball 3. Runners on the move with 3-2, two outs.

Pitching coach goes out to talk to Helsley. Nothing to talk about...Judge HAS to be walked here. Yep, that was the right move.

Just gonna pile on because I think his pitching has poisoned an already shaky bullpen - Leiter's sixth inning ended up costing the game. I know there was a fielding goof, but he bled the base runners, as usual. Stop pitching him, he stinks. He has stunk for most of his career. And he will continue to stink. Stop the insanity.

Nice comeback attempt but it would have been nice if they didn't roll over against Gibson for most of the game.

Boone and company punt another game away. It’s getting exhausting. Losers of three of four against teams out of it.

Perfectly located slider starts in the zone, breaks out of it by 3 inches down and in, K, game over. Yanks rally late, but lose, 6-5, dropping back to 22 games over at 79-57 with 26 left on the schedule, drop a 1/2 game to the division for now, and The O's are just a game back at the moment.
Still annoyed by: Warren not callenging Scott on any of 4 pitches after getting ahead of him 0-2 leading off the 3rd. Volpe not handling the pivot on the clear DP ball that followed. Leiter coming in and screwing things up again, putting this further out of reach. Bad situational hitting before the 8th, they got 3 straight hits with RISP in the 8th, but were 1 for 8 before that, and most of all:
Letting a stiff like Gibson throttle them for 7 innings, and a righty, to boot.

If only Stanton had eaten his Wheaties today, the game would still be tied.
