The Cubs just swept a lousy Nationals team that earlier this week took 2 out 3 against the Yanks. Cubs have been hot for over a month, I think they're now 21-9 in their last 30. Not sure. Yanks? Not so hot since mid-June. |

Not so hot since mid-June. And they're scoring around 8 runs a game over their last 10. That series next weekend at Wrigley is going to be difficult. |

Takes a slider down the middle for some reason, 0-2
Slider away, tapped off the end of the bat to the left of 2nd, Volpe scoots along the OF grass, fields, and he's lucky it's Arenado running, because his throw beat him by a 1/2 step.

Paul O'Neill just said the same thing. The Yankees don't look over matched against any of these teams. A lot of these losses are self inflicted. Many other teams in the AL have the same issue.

Just noting that the WS are now on pace for 37-125. The Orioles play them next starting a 3 game set. I’m starting to sense 2nd place in our near future…

Yanks are 7 games under .500 (if this score holds) since mid-June, 66 game now.
This team DOESN'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASSUME IT'S BETTER THAN ANYONE RIGHT NOW, EVEN WEAK TEAMS.
They've BEEN a weak team for almost 70 games.
