I'm sorry, that's smiley-face BS, YES guys. Yanks are 7 games under .500 (if this score holds) since mid-June, 66 game now. This team DOESN'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASSUME IT'S BETTER THAN ANYONE RIGHT NOW, EVEN WEAK TEAMS. They've BEEN a weak team for almost 70 games. The orioles were 37-19 on June 1 Yankees 41-19 Guardians 39-19 Royals 35-25 Seattle 33-27 Astros 26-33 Since Orioles 41-40 Yankees 38-38 Guardians 39-40 Royals 40-37 Seattle 36-40 Astros 48-29 Astros seem to be the only team that has had a good last 3 months. So I don't get statements like this when the other teams are being just as mediocre. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk A little bit of selective endpoints there, anthony. You're not including the last 12 games of the hot streak, where they 9-3. You're including that in the 2nd stretch, making their play look better. On the other hand me focusing on starting from 50-22 is also a selected endpoint, so I guess we're even. |

Works it back to 2-2.
Fb misses up and in, 3-2
Slider on the low outside corner, Judge is early and pulls off it for the K.
Judge might be blowing the MVP Award to Witt if this keeps up much longer. I never would've though that a week ago.

Yankees still lead the Al in run differential by almost 30 (obv will go down a bit after today), HR, RBI, Runs, walks, obp ops, and are second in slugging. Can we stop acting like this team is bad every day and has no shot at winning anything? Can we also stop acting like the other teams are being dominant when they are not? Really had a shot to get a few games up on Baltimore. Now it will be a half game with the Orioles getting the White Sox next.

Swings inside a FB tailing to the corner away, 0-2
Takes his timeout.
Slider backs outside and a bit low, 1-2.
Swigns over a slider dropping below the knees in the middle, K, game over.
Yanks lose 14-7, losing another series to a mediocre team and losing another series at home to a mediocre team. They drop to 21 games over .500 at 79-58 with 25 left on the schedule, and have dropped 4 out of 5 now.
Tigers beat the Sox 4-1, so the Yankee magic number drops to 17 for a playoff spot, but I don't feel much like putting up a picture about it.
Twins rally for 3 in the 8th to beat the Jays 4-3, taking that series.
Rays and Pads are 3-3 top 9; Padres have 1st and 3rd with nobody out.
Orioles coasting, it looks like, up 6-1 in the 8th at Coors, on their way to winning that series, and closing to within a 1/2 game of the Yanks. And they get the White Sox next, while the Yanks go to Texas to play the defending champ Rangers.
