With TJ surgery, the stuff comes back 1st, but the command is the last to return, that's fatal for someone like Effross who relies on good command because of all his breaking stuff. If he hangs pitches, he gets killed. Just like Leiter.

They have to find out if Effross can help them, to try to improve the pen for the playoffs. Not sure this was the best spot, in the rain with the game still winnable. |

Misses a change on the corner away, 1-1
Takes a slider above middle, 1-2
Takes a sinker down and in, 2-2
Tries to golf a FB at the knees, fouls it.
Slider well inside again, 3-2
FB on the corner away, fouled down the left side.
Sinker just below and inside middle, pulls it through the right side for a leadoff single.

Rizzo takes a waist high change just on or just off the corner away, 0-1. Maybe 1% on Gameday.
Curve in almost the same spot, dumped in the corner in left for a hit, Chisholm scores all the way from 1st on Rizzo's RBI double, 7-3 Cards!
