it was a very good "gleyber day". big game and since becoming the full-time lead-off hitter, he's hitting .319 w a .400 OBP 2 HR 11 RBI over his last 17 games. think perhaps he tries to make good contact instead of trying to hit HRs. also making good plays in the field, has been hustling and hasn't had many of those "gleyber" moments. if he keeps this up, we should be in good shape offensively.
and w wells making most of the starts behind the plate, the addition of jazz, stanton looking good, rizzo returning, volpe & verdugo hitting, this might be the most complete our lineup has looked all season.

The Yanks have scored 26 runs in their last 4 games and that's without Judge or Soto doing anything special. So, you're right, with the supporting cast producing and once the Big Two get hot again, this will be one of the best offenses in the league.

Holmes is a FA after this season. Even Cashman would not invest big money for him as a future closer OR WOULD HE? Yes he will. Unless Holmes melts in the next 7 weeks he gets an offer from Cash that exceeds $30 M.

Yeah, the pitching is a problem. Hopefully a healthy Schmidt and Gil will help.

Just like Sterling says That's Baseball Suzyn.
The problem right now is this team is so inconsistent it is not funny. One night they look like the best team in baseball and follow it up looking like the worst. The pitching staff is imploding. Guys will make incredible plays and some innings look like T-ball toddlers. The pen is very shaky but this is a team that can win it all and play with the best of them. They just need to get hot and stay hot to end September.

Question: What is all that fuzz about Jasson Dominguez not being called?, I do not think he, although it seems to be good, will be the solution??, I have more faith on, say, Oswaldo Cabrera if Boone give him a chance, he was great at the beginning of the season when he was playing every day??, just need Soto and Judge to come out the little slump, Rizzo think will be back strong!.

Welcome to the board! Dominguez displayed a great bat when he was called up last year and in the minors. He's on a whole different level than Oswaldo in prospect pedigree and talent. He could legitimately be our third best hitter if given the opportunity.

Cabrera at his best is equal to Verdugo at his worst ... That's absolutely not the solution

OC is a switchbalde and can play multiple positions. He is a very important piece to the Yankees. This season the Yankees have had a bench full of duds and dead wood. Jasson would add excitement to the team and force a dead wood like Grisham gone and Dugo to 4th/PH.

Oswaldo is an infielder and the Yanks best utility guy. He also did not look good in LF when he played there in 2022.

Thanks for the Welcome, Fair enough, I just said Cabrera as well who else is better on that bench?. I can see the line up as it was yesterday, if Soto and Judge had hit as Torres, well I would think all will follow. Main thing is to be consistent but the pitching well has been as well up and down.

Welcome to the conversation. I'd be fine with giving OC regular time in LF but I think the move the Yankees should make is putting Jazz in left and OC at 3rd. Chisholm is a dynamic offensive player...but at 3rd his defense is offensive to those of us who appreciate the importance of fielding. Jazz played a lot of center for the Marlins and the move a few steps ro his right is not as drastic as making him play 3rd. That upgrades the Yankees defense and at worst leaves the offense at the same place. OC and Verdugo have almost identical batting numbers. Given regular playing time, OC should be a little better than the Verdugo who showed up for the Yankees this year.

The fuss is that essentially, he's the Yanks top prospect, is hitting very well in AAA, hit well when he played here late last season, and he's being blocked by Verdugo, who has been producing essentially nothing for 3 months. There is zero risk attached to giving your top-prospect a chance over a guy who isn't giving you anything. If he hits even at league average, he's an upgrade. If he struggles, so what? You're not getting anything out of the guy he's replacing anyway. It's just blind deference to a veteran player and not even a long-tenured Yankee at that.
