Slider on the outer 3rd, fouled off.
Hanging slider inner half, belted way out to left.
Langford didn't get to be an elite prospect missed sheet pitches like that.
Tin lining: maybe that's the last straw as closer. Gosh, I hope so.
Grand slam knocks the Yanks out of 1st, 7-4, maybe for the last time this year.
Terrible terrible loss.

Opinions vary, but that was building from the moment he hung the sinker to a crappe hitter like Kelly. The last pitch is the least unbelievable thing. The whole inning was pointing to another collapse after Kelly's hit. |

Thanks for nothing Holmes He was terrible, but I dunno if I would have even brought him in with 19 high pressure pitches yesterday also why not take him out after the 3 batters when it was clear he didn't have it? |

Welp, Holmes blows another one and has no one to blame but himself.
Every hit was clean, the two walks were on him, and there was no bad defense.
He got two defensive breaks, 1) the wild pitch that hit off Semien and no one moved up, and 2) the bounced throw on the steal that caromed right to Cabrera.
He got two pitch calls to Langford and it STILL didn't matter, two balls called strikes.
He just can't close in the heat of a playoff chases, not in New York. Time to end this, Boone, even if Cashman and the analysts threaten to fire you for it.
Yanks lose, 7-4 after leading 4-1, dropping back to 21 games over at 80-59 and fall out of 1st by 1/2 game.
