Throw over on Judge.
Stanton takes a cutter that looks like it's inside, but hits the inner 3rd near the corner, 0-1
Pulls off a cutter about 2-3 inches outside, thigh high, 0-2
Tries to back the sinker over the outside corner, missed outside 3-4 inches.
That one hits the corner below the top, not called. Stanton got a break there, 20-25% on Gameday, 2-2
Sinker waist high away, driven deep to right, but the wind knocks that one down, Bellinger goes back to the track and catches almost on the ivy. That ball is gone without the wind. 2 down.

Chisholm pushes a bunt foul off 3rd.

Missed Chisholm taking a cutter for a strike, so he's down, 0-2
Maddux sinker misses inside, 1-2
Throw over on Judge again.
Sinker outside corner, grounded to the right of 2nd, normal 2nd base position, but they're shifted to pull. Hoerner dives to his right to grab it, looks at 1st, sees no play on Chisholm, flips to 2nd to try to catch Judge rounding the bag, but he holds tight to the base. 1st and 2nd, 2 down on the infield hit for Chisholm.
Rizzo coming up and the Cubs will go to a lefty for him. Assad's day is over at 90 pitches and he walked 3 in 5 2/3.
Drew Smyly, ex-starter turned long reliever, in for the Cubs. Having a good year, 2.83 ERA in 54 innings in 42 games.

Runners go on the 1st pitch. Rizzo takes a sinker, throw to 3rd gets away from Wisdom, Judge gets up and scores, and Chisholm follows to 3rd. Yanks pull off a double steal, and are rewarded with an error, adding a big tack-on run, 2-0 Yanks!!
Rizzo gets a sinker in the zone down and in, misses under, pops it Hoerner behind 2nd, has to lean back late because of the wind, but catches, inning over.
Bottom 6, 2-0 Yanks.
Top of the order for the Cubs vs. Cortes in the 6th: Happ, Busch and Suzuki.

Backdoor cutter on the corner taken, 1-1
Fouls off a FB in the zone above and outside middle, 1-2
Cutter up in the zone, inner 3rd, hit high to center, would be deep, but the wind knocks that down too, and Judge started back and stops in his tracks, catches, 1 down.

Busch gets a FB above middle, pops it high on the left side, Volpe comes over from near 2nd, calls off Chisholm, catches it near where Chisholm was positioned, 2 down.

Cutter on the outside corner brushes the zone, not called, 10% so...marginal.
Slider misses just high, Nestor wanted that call but it missed by an inch or two, 0% on Gameday, 2-0
Cutter outside is ball 3.
FB well high and maybe outside is ball 4. Two-out walk for Suzuki.
Wells goes out to talk to Cortes about Bellinger.

Bad curve in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, but he misses, fouling it, 0-2
Fb misses outside, knee high, 1-2
Beats him clean with a Fb near the outside corner, but in the zone, thigh high, swung on and missed, K, inning over.
Top 7, 2-0 Yanks.
Nice inning for Nestor, 13 pitches and 17 total for his 1 1/3 innings.
Volpe, Verdugo and back to the top for Torres for the Yanks in the 7th.

Sinker just above the low outside corner, taken, 1-1
Curve drops into the very top of the zone, outer 3rd, taken 1-2. 25-30% on Gameday
Bounces a curve near the corner inside, 2-2
Chases a terrible curve way low, easy ball 3, but he fouls it. Sigh. It almost bounced and he chased it.
Sinker about 4-5 inches outside would've been ball 4 if he didn't chase the curve, now it's 3-2 instead.

Volpe pulls off and chases a waist high Fb about 2 inches outside for the K, and that was ball 5, though it might not have been called a ball. 1 down.
