Berti is a very good pinch runner. Solid secondary lead, took off immediately when the ball was hit behind him, perfect angle coming off of third, good speed, and an inside slide away from the catcher.

2nd straight extra inning walkoff for the Yanks, with Berti carrying the mail as the ghost-runner. Yanks get back to 23 games over .500 at 85-62 with 15 games to play, increase the lead over the O's to 2 full games. Red Sox now 11 back, tragic number for them for the division is down to 5. starting to feel nba games. just like last night, only saw the last inning or two and we win. who needs the rest of the game  .

looks like it was a statement game for cortes. great job by the bullpen throwing 4 scoreless including holmes. 1 2/3 inning for hamilton. if we get him back, the bullpen suddenly looks a lot better.
soto gets the big hit and gleyber started it off. not much in between.
happy when the games are on fox or espn because red sox games are blacked for me.
