Sinker inside makes him back off, he checks the swing just in time, 1-1
Sinker near middle above the knees, hard grounder right to Torres, rushes the backflip and it's off target, but Volpe stretches for the Force, spins around, throws to first, double play!!
I get that Torres felt he needed to get it to Volpe quick, but Volpe made a terrific stretch, catch, and wheel around throw.

FB in the zone up and in at 97, he tries to muscle a fly to the Porch, but it slices foul
Slider away, pulled into the 56 hole, Story gets to it running on the backhand, tries the Jeter jumpthrow, but it's late and off target, infield hit.

Don't know why Gleyber insists on unnecessarily using that flip. With the way Gleyber has taken to the leadoff spot, if he could play third base, I'd bring him back. I think Jazz needs to play 2nd base nest season. |
