Which is why we need to bear with his youthful batting issues…when he’s hot he’s hot. When he’s not he’s not… I tend to agree, but I wouldn't mind them giving him a day off every two weeks or so. I think he wears down at the plate. His late hot streak was right after he got 4 days off at the break. Soto takes a change low, ball 1. Takes a change below and outside middle, 1-1 I concur. Volpe needs a day or two to reset mentally and physically when he's in a rut.

Judge takes a slider just outside, ball 1 Slider on the outer 3rd, fouled off, 1-1 Guerrero comes set, steps off. Change dives inside 2-3 inches above the knees, Judge lays off, 2-1 Change tails well inside, 3-1 Great attempt to fool him with a slider up and in, and it did clip the top of the zone inner 3rd, but again, not called, it was just 10% on Gameday, but Judge got a small break there, ball 4.
1st and 2nd, 1 out for Chisholm, and Cora goes to lefty Bailey Horn.

Slider down and in, grounded right to Gonzalez, a sure-fire DP ball, but he fumbles it, dives after it, can't recover, E-4 loads the bases with 1 out for Stanton. It is a moral imperative for Stanton to get at least one run home here.

Yankees take advantage of some sloppy Boston defense and add another run. Good AB by Stanton.

Cutter misses well low, outside corner, 1-0 Cutter well high, inside middle, 2-0 Slider in the zone down and in, lined hard to left, but right to Duran, he has to reach up to catch, but it's a sac fly, scoring Torres, 5-2 Yanks! Almost a game-breaking extra base hit by Stanton there.

Dominguez up. Slider low, the runners go and Judge leads the double steal! 2nd and 3rd now. FB well high. Well-placed slider hits the corner up and away, again, the Yanks get the call, 50% on Gameday, 3-0 FB overthrown way high, ball 4. Dominguez is weaker from the right side, but I don't blame the Sox for giving him nothing to hit. Volpe on deck in a long, deep slump and has a hat trick going today.
Weissert comes in to face Volpe with bases loaded, two out, and Yanks up by 3.

Don't know why Gleyber insists on unnecessarily using that flip. With the way Gleyber has taken to the leadoff spot, if he could play third base, I'd bring him back. I think Jazz needs to play 2nd base nest season. I've said many, many times Gleyber should be moved to 3B. Inger has an interesting suggestion...move him to 1B.

I haven't mentioned them all season, but I bet the SOSH denizens are out of their minds over the K zone today. As ever, I won't check until the game is over.
