I dunno what's happened the last two weeks but the inconsistent Yankees went away and the April Yankees came back even the ball is luck Is going to their way.
I guess not having DJ around helps.
Anyway 5 game lead in the division. With 10 left and 4 games until the Orioles series.

Robles runs for Raleigh.
Turner chases a slider low/away 0-1, and Wells nearly picks Robles as well.
Fouls off a slider on the outer 3rd, 0-2, Cabrera tries to lean into the M's dugout to catch, can't reach it.
FB above middle at 98.5 swung on and missed!!!
The Yanks survive 1st and 3rd, nobody out and hang on to win 2-1, Clinching a playoff spot!!!

OK... Yanks grind out a tough one for the clinch, just 3 hits, Rizzo with both RBI!!? Great start by Cortes, Kahnle did his job, Clay Holmes blows yet another save, even when not closing. Yanks win their 3rd game in a row, get back to 26 games over .500 for the first time since June 19th at 89-63 with 10 left to play. O's lose again, the Yankee lead is up to 5, and the Magic Number for winning the East is down to   |
