Takes a FB on the outside corner.
Throw over.
Splitter dives inside, takes it.
Slider way low, tries to check, can't, 1-2, as Chisholm steals 2nd.
Bounces the split near the corner away, 2-2
Infield not in with Stanton up.
And it doesn't matter where the infield is, because of a Stantonian chase on a slider bounced outside, K, 2 down. Hat trick for Stanton.

Yeah, but...Dominguez losing the ball in the sun...if he catches it, it's 1 run and not nearly as much BB/H/Pitch count damage. What if...Schmidt didn't give up the 2 hits & 1 BB...Turner would've never come to the plate. |

FB in the down and in happy zone, he tries to golf it, but tops it to Moore, easy play for the 3rd out.
Bottom 5, 3-2 Mariners.
22 pitches for Gilbert in the 5th, and he might be done at 91 pitches.
6-7-8 for Seattle: Polanco, Crawford, and Moore in the 5th inning. Mayza was warming, we'll see if he comes in for Schmnidt.
Name That Yankee is Lenny Randle, I think.

I didn't think Schmidt had a shot of getting through 5 innings, but he pulled off an 11 pitch 1-2-3 to make it there anyway. Good job by him, 99 pitches through 5.
7-8-9 for the Yanks in the 6th: Rizzo, Trevino and Volpe.

FB almost down the middle, fouls it back off of Raleigh.
The ump gives Raleigh a couple of seconds to recover.
Slider bounced, he doesn't chase, 2-2
Slider backs up outside, he chases that one, swings over it for the K, 1 down. 9 K's for Gilbert.
