Personally, I think creating a stadium that seats 33,000 in the middle of the desert is absurd. What's the team going to be called when they finally get their new park, the Las Vegas Bust? They'll have a roof on their new park for the heat. Plus, everyone is moving to Vegas: The Raiders, the NHL and WNBA. The NBA will have an expansion team there eventually. Raiders (NFL) & Golden Knights (NHL) both play to 100%+ capacity.

There's the cutter below middle, taken for a strike by Verdugo. 0-1 Sinker on the outside corner near the top, tipped foul almost straight down, 0-2 FB at the top outer 3rd, fouled off. Change low, taken, 1-2 Looking ahead, Miller had the day off yesterday, but pitched the two days before. FB at the top in the middle, popped to short center, Bleday calls off Wilson, catches, 2 down.

Verdugo is useless. I cannot wait to be free of having to suffer through him at the plate anymore...

1 run through 8. Nice work, lads.

Torres takes a slider outside, 1-0 Slider on the outer 3rd, taken, 1-1 Slider on the corner away, fouled, 1-2 Humps up to 98 on a FB just above the top, swung under for the K. I have a feeling we're going to find out just how "available" Soto is, because there's probably going to be an at bat, maybe vs. Miller, when it's obvious they should go to Soto. Then we'll see if they do it, or play it safe. I'm betting on "safe".
Bottom 8, 1-1 Gelof, Soderstrom and Wilson in the 8th for the A's.

Cole stays in there. I hope he's still solid.

1 run through 8. Nice work, lads. It's really frustrating but with no Soto and Judge not doing anything special, the team struggles to score.

Big breaking curve drops into the lower part of the zone, he didn't check his swing, Kay it was a called strike, 0-1 Curve in the same spot, belted deep to left of center, but Grisham goes back and nonchalantly catches it over the shoulder, 1 down.

Soderstrom... Takes a cutter on the inside corner, 0-1 Takes a 95.6 FB inside, 1-1 Chases a curve outside, fouls it, 1-2 Change outside, tapped off the end of the bat back to Cole, fields and flips to Rizzo, 2 down.

Wilson... Slider backs up but onto the inside corner for a strike, waist-high. Cutter just outside, below the waist, rolled off the end of the bat to Volpe, he comes in, fields, and throws quickly, a strike to Rizzo, inning over.
OK, great job, Cole. 9 pitch 1-2-3 in the 8th, and 85 through 8. Top 9, still tied at 1.
Wells, Judge and Chisholm for the Yanks...against Miller?

Yep, Miller into the game to face the big hitters in the order with no save situation possible.
