Dunno...I kinda like it. How many MLB ballparks are actually sold out...not tix sold? IMO, baseball, unlike football, needs to be watched relatively closely. I guess I'm just used to the Big Ballpark in the Bronx. OF course, the A's are going to be happy to have any fans in the park. I think that ballpark will be sold out for quite some time. Doesn't matter if they're A's fans...mostly transplant fans of other teams. It'll be the closest AL park for me. |

Bad slider again, below and inside middle, belted HR distance to left, but hooked well foul.
FB on the outside corner at 97, fouled off the right side, 0-2
Slider waist high, outside corner, spoiled
Slider yanked and bounced way outside, great backhand stab by Wells to save a wild pitch.
Slider in the zone low and outside, he gets down and pulls it to left for a single, Soderstrom stops at 2nd with 1 down.
And that's it for Gil, Hamilton will come in to try and put out the fire, 1st and 2nd with 1 out for Brown.

Hill warming for Butler, I'd guess.
Slider well inside, taken. 1-2
Slider to the knees lined hard to 1st, Rizzo playing back near the grass catches, no way to get to 1st ahead of Gelof, so he tries to double up Soderstrom, not in time, 2 down.

That Maddux sinker at 97 clips the corner inside, taken for a strike, 3-1
Hanging slider below middle, hammered to the corner in right, lands for a double, both runners score, and it's a game again, Yanks' lead back down to 1 at 5-4.
Allen pinch runs for Noda.
Both batters have hit the ball hard off Hamilton here.

Muller is at 21 pitches, I assume he stays in for at least Soto and maybe all 3.

Kotsay goes to a right for Judge and Wells, and maybe Stanton too.
Otanez, who pitched Friday, in the game. One scoreless inning with 1 BB and 1 K.
