Keegan Akin, the lefty, in for the O's in the 6th. Soto... Takes a slider in the zone low/away, 0-1 Slider misses just outside at the knees, 1-1 Change drops into the top, just the edge, not called, Soto gets the Soto call, 10% on Gameday, 2-1 Slider misses low/away, 3-1 Slider misses just low, called a strike anyway, first bad call for the Yanks in a while and it wasn't bad by much, maybe an inch low. FB outside middle, and he misses it, fouls it off. Sigh. Slider on the edge of the high inside corner, popped to Mountcastle near 1st, 1 down.

I wonder what Judge's stats would be if he wasn't pitched around so much?

Humps up to 87 on the slider, outside corner, foul tipped, 0-1 FB in the zone up and in, ties him up, popped to the right side, Westberg goes back and left into short right field, catches, 2 down. Hyde brings in righty Jacob Webb to face Stanton.

How did Carter do for the Rangers last year ? Remember Andrew Jones against the Yankees in the 96 WS? Or Miggy Cabrera also against the Yankees in 2003? Randy Arozerana before he was even officially a rookie. The recently-released Michael Wacha with St. Louis. El Duque. I remember Tony Kubek as a rookie in the 1957 World Series. Two home runs in a game against his hometown Milwaukee Braves. Them was the days, I tell ya!

Stanton needs to pretend it’s the playoffs in order to avoid 3Ks

Stanton tries not to fall behind for another K, gets a slider in the zone low/away, hits it high and deep to right, but it slices foul, 0-1 FB outer 3rd, taken, 0-2 FB up the ladder straightens Stanton up. Back to the slider here, I'd think.
