The Braves & Mets could have flown to NY this morning and played a DH in Queens tomorrow. That would suck, but better than playing on Monday. Hey as a baseball fan, I think it's great...we can watch another couple of games before the real playoffs start.

McCann takes a sinker on the high outside corner, 0-1 Curve misses inside above the waist, but called a strike anyway, Leiter got a bit of a gift there, 0-2. 0% on Gameday by 3 inches. Splitter maybe got a tiny corner of the zone low/away, 0-1% on Gameday, not called, 1-2 Splitter winds up just inside middle, McCann tips it into the mitt, K, inning over.
I think we found a situation that Leiter can be used with relative safety, gang That's lemme see here...1....2...good mop-up appearances in a row, if I'm counting right.
Bottom 9, 9-3 O's. Bowman comes in to face Rizzo, Volpe and Torres.

When your pitchers give up 17 runs, there really isn't one key play in the game.

Rizzo takes a cutter inside middle, 0-1 Chases a sinker tailing 4-5 inches outside, fouls it off the end of the bat, 0-2 Cutter above middle, chopped to the right side of 2nd, Westburg misses his backhand attempt, it goes to Henderson, who can do nothing but count the stitches. lucky infield hit, but I'll take it. As will Rizzo, I suppose.

Torres takes a sinker high, 1-0 Cutter above and inside middle, lined to the left of Henderson's lunge near the bag at 2nd, gets into center for a hit, 1st and 2nd, 1 down for Soto.

Sinker gets a small piece of the high, outside corner, 5-10% on Gameday, 0-1 Splitter dives outside, 1-1 His power is not "in left center", Mikey. He pulls more than he goes the other way. he just has more power to left and left center than almost any other hitter in the majors.
Splitter outside, 2-1 Sinker above the top, outer half, fouled off, 2-2 Splitter above and inside middle, lined to right for a hit, Rizzo scores, Torres goes to 3rd, and it's 9-4. Yay.

Judge... Takes a slider outside, ball 1.
Dominguez warming for the O's, this might be Bowman's last batter if he doesn't get Judge.
Swings over a slider near middle, 1-1. Guessed FB, I supposed Sharp slider breaks to the corner away, fouled off the end of the bat, 1-2 Cutter well outside, Judge lays off, 2-2 Ties to back a sinker over the corner away, just misses, and McCann has to lunge for it as the target was inside, and he doesn't get the call, 3-2 Slider on the corner away, thigh high, fouled off again, still 3-2.

Hangs the slider near the inside corner below the waist, terrible slider, and Judge deposits it in the bullpen in left center, Yanks cut it to 2, 9-7!
I'm happy for them. I'm happy for Judge. Four games in a row with a HR, his 57th this season. But they'll have to prove it against Dominguez now. He's gettable, but can the guys below Judge get him?
