just got home from the club to seen the martian walk. was listening in the car. looks like it's been the stanton/cole show. btw surprised to hear sterling on the radio w suzyn. I believe Sterling is at the stadium calling games all week, will also be calling the playoff games. So much for retirement! Maybe he just needed a vacation. A 5 month vacation.

7-0 looking good for the AL East tonight. Guess I will listen to the end in the truck.

Volpe falls behind 1-2, misses inside a FB to the outside corner thigh high, K, inning over. Nice bookends there, Anthony. Volpe slams the door twice in one inning. He seems to be in-between a natural affinity to swing from his boots and staying within himself. Not making the most of his athleticism. Or, maybe he just isn't a great hitter and never will be.

You got to do it every night now! Good evening Rizz! What's the frequency, Kenneth? He Kaseeb - why was Corbin Burns pulled after only 69 pitches? Sorry if this has been covered already. I wonder if Hyde is thinking ahead to the playoffs ?

Rutschman takes a curve well low, 1-0 Takes a curve into the upper part of the zone 1-1 FB outside middle, fouled. FB in the zone low/away, lined hard to Gleyber's right, he lunges falls that way and catches, 2 down.
Boone goes to get Cole, and to get him a standing ovation. I guess Cole didn't end the season by intentionally walking Devers, after all. At least, not yet.

I was just about to comment that Cole was throwing 97-98 last inning in the jam against the O's 1-2-3 hitters, but dialed it down to 93-5 to get outs with the big lead.
Cole's night over at 101 pitches; Kahnle in to face O'Hearn.

only saw cole pitch to those 2 batters but think our ace is ready for the PS. 4 hits and 1 run last 16 innings. boston "devers" debacle in the rear view mirror.

Anyone else happy that we don't have to face the Red Sox in the playoffs?

O'Hearn... Change outside, ball 1 Change below middle, tapped to the right side, Torres comes over left and in, glove flips to Rizzo, inning over.
Yanks 6 outs away from the division, lead the O's, 7-0, going bottom 7. Top of the order: Torres, Soto and Judge due in for the Yanks. I'd like to point out that the 6 run rally began with a 1 out walk by Torres.

Anyone else happy that we don't have to face the Red Sox in the playoffs? Still might have to face the Mets (in terms of Cole's nemeses). But yes, Rays and Sox both eliminated last night.
