How did kc get past Detroit in the standings ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Need the Royals to pull the upset. We have a real Orioles bugaboo this season and facing that lineup healthy sounds like a serious uphill battle for this pitching staff. |

Takes a FB just outside, knee high, 3-1
FB misses up and away, leadoff walk for Volpe, who was already thrown out trying to steal by Bart earlier in the game.

The Reds/Cubs game just ended so this is the last game of the regular season. For the AL yea, but the Braves and Mets have to play two tomorrow. |

Slider just below middle, he's early and taps it foul off the end of the bat.
Volpe tries to jump on Holderman, but Holderman has it and wheels, throws him out stealing 3rd. 2 down.
Trevino swings over a slider well low for the K, inning over.
Volpe was supposed to have excellent baseball smarts, but some things he does makes me doubt that.

Name that Yankee is Matty Alou, one of the 4 Alou brothers, the other three being Felipe, Jesus and Tood. I wasn't familiar with that 4th one, Tood. Old baseball joke. I use it whenever it comes up. Have to be forcibly stopped. |

Can someone explain to me why they keep sending down Effross ? Isn't he supposed to an important piece to the bullpen? necessity. a roster crunch move. for this last game, they wanted to bring rice up and not IL rizzo. assuming he could still be on the PS roster. |
