Those damn Mets are at it again after an improbable win yesterday. They are really starting to annoy me with all that OMG, grimace and hawk Tua girl crap.

Looks like every team will have the "Strauss" logo on the batting helmets. Wonder if that'll change for the DS. Players are going to look like NASCAR drivers soon.

I'm guessing there's been bidding for the rights to helmet decal logos for each series. We might see "Jardiance" logos on helmets during the division series.

Anyone know why Strauss paid MLB for the ad space on the helmets ? Are they entering the baseball equipment market ? I don't recall ever seeing them in an equipment store.

Anyone notice that the two winning pitchers in today's National League games were in the Yankee's rotation last year?

Anyone notice that the two winning pitchers in today's National League games were in the Yankee's rotation last year? sevy was ok. got 'em through 6 but he might have been out after 4 if the mets didn't blow it open in the 5th.
michael king's become one of the best pitchers in baseball. tough to give him up. makes it even important that win this year w soto. i'm sure it'll be uber sweet for hinch to beat the astros.

Cool for Sweeney, he never would have received a chance in the majors with the Yankees. Higgy also homered late that San Diego game, I'm happy for him that he's getting this chance.

can skubal pitch every game . That was a dramatic finish to that game with Heyward lining out with the tying run in scoring position, Michael Kay was on the call too.

"Strauss" has no more to do with baseball equipment than "Starr Insurance", which advertises with a patch on the sleeve of Yankee uniforms. How much does it cost to sponsor an MLB jersey? For Starr it was $25 million per year to get space on the Yankees' jersey. Other offers were higher but the Yankees were concerned about fit. The price will vary depending on the market. The Red Sox, for example, sold space for $17 million, while the Padres' deal was for $9 million per year. The Yankees' deal with Starr reportedly is through 2031. The patch will be on both home and road uniforms. While the move may be unpopular among fans, in the end, money talks. The Yankees are banking on people getting used to it.

I expect to see more ads in the future at evey level of sports. Fans will get used to it the same way we are to the signs and messages that wrap around every ballpark.

Maybe kaybli will spring for that for Bronx Bombers Boards.net if we all chip in. After I pay the bills this month, I’ll have $1.37 that I can give. Pony up fellers!… 🤓

I expect to see more ads in the future at evey level of sports. Fans will get used to it the same way we are to the signs and messages that wrap around every ballpark. As you noted, advertising at ballparks has been around forever. The latest thing is company logos digitally projected on the back of pitcher’s mounds. Everything from batting gloves to the bats players use is a form of advertising. I’m sure no one thinks Aaron Judge buys his Chandler bats or Anthony Rizzo pays for his Rawlings gloves. The uniforms players wear have been billboards since the “New Era” logo was added to MLB caps and the “Nike” logo was placed on jerseys a few years ago.
