FB above middle, hit toward the 56 hole, Volpe backhands, and throws from his knees, terrible throw well by Torrres to the mound side, gets away behind first, the runners get to 2nd and 3rd with just one out.

Sinker at the top IS A 90% STRIKE not called. Yanks get hosed by the ump this time.
Sinker at the bottom of the zone, hit hard toward short, but Volpe can't reach it, it goes by him to his left and into left-center for a 2-run single.
5-4, Royals.
If Volpe takes his time, and gets the force at 2nd, or even if the throw is late, the infield is BACK, and that grounder is a likely 6-6-3 DP, even with Hampson's speed, because it was hit at 107.
