Wells takes a slider low, ball 1. Takes a change tailing outside, 2-0. Slider misses the backdoor, 3-0. Perez held it there, but it missed by 2 inches. FB at the knees, pulled foul off 1st. FB near the top at 99.5 in the middle, swung late and under, 3-2 FB sails well high and outside, Wells lays off, ball 4.

Good thing "The Boss" isn't around, or he might be naming someone "Mr. May through August".

Stanton should not be able to hit this guy, unless he hangs a slider or change. 1 for 5 with a 2 run double and 2 K's vs. Erceg.

FB above and outside middle, late and under, misses, 0-1 There's the hanging slider above and inside middle and he misses, fouls it off. That was your chance, Giancarlo. FB yanked a bit outside at 100, 1-2 Same pitch, same spot, same take, 2-2 Change down and in, Stanton gets a piece, fouls. FB inside middle at 100, he manages to foul it. Sinker above middle at 99.7, and again, he fouls it. Very surprised they haven't gone up the ladder, or low/away with the slider.

Perez talks it over with Erceg...
Fb just below the top at 98, Stanton can't catch up, swings under it for the K, inning over. Erceg strikes out the side, Soto, Judge and Stanton, around the walk to Wells.
Bottom 9, 6-5 Yanks. Weaver vs. Massey, Witt and Pasquantino.
Don't overlook Massey here, Luke.

vs. Weaver... Massey 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Witt 0-3 with 2 BB. Pasquantino has faced Weaver once and walked. And if it gets to him... Perez is 3-8 with a solo HR and a K vs. Weaver.

Massey takes a change on the outside corner above the waist, 0-1 Bounces the change over the middle, 1-1 Young? He's 31, Ronnie. Well, that's a lot younger than you. Or me, for that matter. Swings over a change at the knees down and in, 1-2 Takes his timeout. Change tails outside, spoiled. FB inside corner above the waist, spoiled again. Loses a change up and away, 2-2 Finish him here, Luke.

And he did!! FB dives inside near the top, ties him up for the swing and miss, K, 1 down! Now Witt is just the tying run at the plate.
