I looked at a couple of sites and it appears this is the first time Berti every played 1st base. The Crack Analytical Team™ strikes again! I'm sure the Royals won't be able to use their team speed to take advantage of Berti's inexperience in blocking bad pickoff throws, in digging out throws from the other infielders, on starting a 3-6-3 double play and other throws the first baseman has to make in the opposite direction as throws from 2nd, short and 3rd to first, and on bunt plays won't come back to haunt, especially if this is a tight low-scoring game. No sirree, Bob! And yes, no record of Berti ever play first base before this game, not in the majors, not in the minors, not in the Cape Cod League. I share your confidence.

Just go on a desktop or laptop and use the streameast link I can give you. I’ll try, but yesterday it was blocked by a FUBO add I couldn’t close. Those bass turds are trying to suck every cent out of us… Install an adblocker to your web browser. What web browser do you use? Chrome? I can send you a link.

the berti move is a surprise and big head scratcher. normally they go for D over offense. this is very out of character. yeah ragans is one the best lefties in the game but the cost could be high especially at 1B. ocab has done a very good job there. so you sacrifice a little offense. there's no way this makes sense especially against ragans against whom runs could be at a premium. was any reason given by boone in pre-game interviews. will be holding my breath ...

I think he played one game there in little league. Of course, they threw Jazz at third base in the middle of a playoff push and got away with it. They got away with it because the Orioles morphed into the Swans. I give the guy a ton of credit for taking it on but there were times he looked like a guy who never played 3rd.

Lifelong Yankee/AL fan, but the games today have to go a long way to match the entertainment & excitement of the recent NL games. Tigers-Guardians did their part...

Just wondering why the FOX pre-game crew think the Yanks are going to hit Ragans. Like he's not a very tough pitcher. I mean, they could, but I wouldn't bet that way.

"No contribution from Aaron Judge in Game 1" Costas just said, forget the great running catch he made in left-center, which probably would have been a triple since it was Witt Jr. at the plate.

Yanks have to win at least one game of three from Lugo and Ragans, plus beat Wacha again to win the series. I know Wacha didn't lose the game on Sunday, but they got him out early, and did just enough against the Royals' pen.

He was talking about at the plate, but year, that was a big catch when it happened, might have kept Cole from being knocked out in the 1st.
