Berti is 0-1 vs. Erceg, a K. Takes a sinker inside, ball 1. Fouls off a sinker in the zone up and in, 1-1 Change tails well inside, 2-1 Sinker waist high, inner 3rd, inside outs a line drive to right for a hit!!. Beautiful job with that 98 sinker. Torres up as the tying run. Hey, Gleyber, think you can draw just one more walk tonight?

Ferk.
Okay, just get 2 in KC. Preferably the next 2 because I DO NOT want it coming down to Rodon in Game 5.

Sinker inside, Torres tries to jump it instead of taking a strike, grounds to Witt, throws him out, game over. Yanks lose game 2, 4-2 and the series is tied 1-1.
Yanks face the gloomy game 3 matchup of Schmidt vs. Lugo, and then Wacha vs. Cole again in game 4.

Nothing you can really do about that one. Quite a few bad called strike 3's and just so many balls right at someone.
Royals had one good inning and it held.
Still like the Yankees chances.

The Yanks showed no spark tonight...probably just still hungover from that 2 week layoff. Maybe they'll remember their road dominance when they get to K.C.

Our offense did not show up. I think to have any chance to win a WS we need someone who can get hits. But I have said that for decades and its no more accepted now than ever. They need to fire cashman and start focusing on hitting

Schmidt has the stuff, we'll see if he has the makeup in Game 3. Lets hope he does.

What happened to Gil? Isn't he going to start any of the games in this series?

What happened to Gil? Isn't he going to start any of the games in this series? Nope. They're going with Schmidt in Game 3.

You’re right. The Yankees should plan to have a black hole of offense at first base next year. That’s the answer. Someone call Cashman. I am not remotely interested in your negative posts. You are a misanthrope, Sir. Just place me on ignore. Vaya con Dios. Then you shouldn’t have replied. You’re a low IQ homer. Go look for a unicorn instead of telling me we haven’t seen this same story for years.
