"No contribution from Aaron Judge in Game 1" Costas just said, forget the great running catch he made in left-center, which probably would have been a triple since it was Witt Jr. at the plate. My guess that there was also no mention if the ball Witt hit (397 feet)would have been either a HR or off the wall in a couple of other stadiums. I have no problem with announcers commenting whether HRs would or would not be a HR in other parks. I've heard Yankee announcers, including Kay, do it.

I am really not liking all these days off. Just want to see them get right back out there and play. Talked about this before but the playoff format doesn't do the teams with the best records a big favor. Getting more than 2 days off is rarely a blessing. Five days off is closer to a curse.

Jeter sold Cashman on Stanton's one hit wonder season Stanton was far from being a 1 year wonder. In 8 years with the Marlins he has a .914 OPS. Some posters say the darndest things...

Our offense did not show up. I think to have any chance to win a WS we need someone who can get hits. But I have said that for decades and its no more accepted now than ever. They need to fire cashman and start focusing on hitting Cashman did focus on hitting. He traded for Soto, Verdugo, Jazz.

All four series are tied at one apiece. Winning the the post season isn't easy. You're right. For now, the Yankees joined the Dodgers, Guardians, Phillies in losing homefield.

Kay really ripping the team on the post game. Flaherty didn't like Jazz in an interview said they had some bad hitting luck today. Kay said he didn't feel like they were hitting anything hard and didnt know what Jazz was talking about. I must have been watching a different game. I saw the Yankees hit more than a couple hard hit balls. One example would be that Witt took any momentum the Yankees were having away, when he took a hit away from Stanton and turned it into a double play.

I've found it's best to use the word "fortunate" rather than "lucky" in most cases. I think that's probably what Jazz meant. I didn't like Jazz's lucky quote either. I like when the Yankees let their good playing do the talking on the field.

It's fine. It's nothing to the length of Naylor and his baby thing or Vlad this is my house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It just sounds like sour grapes after losing and not giving the other team any credit. Just take the L and move on. I agree.

Stanton did seem to get very old very early. He won't turn 35 for another month. We all can list dozens of guys who stayed "younger" longer. And yes, Stanton is still productive. His home run frequency at Yankee Stadium was better this year than Juan Soto's ! Look it up. Batting righty with cousin Lucy behind him he was more apt to hit a home run than Juan Soto who got protected by Aaron Judge. The guy did contribute yet is no longer near what he gets paid. The Stanton deal should send a message to everyone who wants Hal to send Soto the entire bank this offseason. Long term deals usually stink at the end. The deal for Judge will as will the Cole deal. At the minimum prepare for that when you sign them. Or just avoid them.
