Estevez came in for Suarez to face Lindor, 1 out, bases loaded...and Lindor comes through again! Grand slam, and the Mets are up 4-1, on their way to the NLCS, it looks like. He's the best player in the National League. Best two way player this year, yep. Still think Ohtani gets the MVP on the first 50-50 ever. Might not be fair, but I think that's what will be.

Jeez! I forgot. Stanton's game-winner and 1st HR of this post-season: 112.9 mph, 417 feet, 35° launch angle, a HR in 36 of 30 ballparks. later on during that inning, Costas talked about that HR like it was a wall scraper. Yes Costa is quite dismissive.

Since the 3rd, he hasn't been sharp at all, but the Yanks haven't busted him up. Might regret that at some point. I would think best case scenario is 6 innings from Schmidt and Lugo gone after 6 with Yankees in lead. Heading there. Didn't quite get there, but good enough.

It's true that Volpe probably had more time than he thought against Frazier and air-mailed the throw, but you can't pitch to Isbel like he's Juan Soto. He has 8 HRs, I know, but you have to challenge him up and in, maybe with a cutter tying him up, and make him PROVE it. True cant be afraid of the potential tie HR to a non Soto player like you said. Did they say what the catch probably was on the Soto dive? XBA on the Massey Triple was .460, so...marginal call to dive for it, 50-50 play for an average fielder.

The lefty Bubic in to face another two-lefty slot: Wells and Chisholm. Well, maybe Stanton can continue his hard hitting. If Stanton hits a HR it will be the cycle for him, no way he would ever get a triple... Hopefully, with Wells on base Quasi-cycle: for Stanton, a steal is just as rare as a triple.

Wacha is a righty. Doubtful. I'd still do it. He had the RBI double off the righty Lugo. Playoff Stanton is a different animal. Not sure I'd want to stack Wells and Chisholm back-to-back. Now, if you want to move Stanton up to 3rd and drop Judge to 5th... OK, that's pushing it.

glad we won which we hit more The Yankees only had 4 hits but the game winner went over the fence! Yanks won the HR battle tonight; just 1-0, but the one won them the game.

3. Judge 4. Stanton 5. Jazz 6. Volpe
7. Wells 8. Oswaldo
9. Verdugo
If you don't want a lefty to neutralize the last three, put Berti in there instead of Oswaldo.

OK, all caught up with notifications, so I'm going to get going. See you tomorrow when the Yanks try to wrap up this series at 8:08 pm. Good night to all of you. Bye.
