Again, so what that it's a national game? Speaking of Nettles he said it best why he declined to be interviewed. I'm sure there's a segment of the national audience that enjoys the interviews. Doesn't matter that Nettles declined. If he hadn't, I doubt there'd be any complaints from Yankee fans if he was featured in an interview. Frankly, there seems to be a bit of a persecution complex among some Yankee fans. I'm not one of those fans. I want to see the game, I couldn't care less what Brett or any player has to say during the game. It's not persecution complex when fans keep hearing the same stuff over and over again about their stadium short porch, etc. The short porch is there when the other team is hitting too. Again, not much said about Yankee Stadiums CF and power ally dimensions.

There is an LSU/Saints’ fan on tigerdroppings.com that gets more excited about the uniform combinations than the actual game. To each their own. I have no problem whatsoever with in-game interviews as long as the coverage of the game isn't affected.

Missed the start of the game, so the voice was on when I turned the TV on when Judge hit the ball to LF. So I heard Costas ask if Judge got all of the ball? 👓 The LFer showed me immediately the all Judge hit was a routine fly-ball. Costas thought he got it. We all know if Judge really gets into one, that LF he just standing there watching it soar by.

Again...this is a national broadcast. Would Yankee fans be upset if there was a Graig Nettles interview? Again, so what that it's a national game? Speaking of Nettles he said it best why he declined to be interviewed. That twitter account that posted that is parody account. No one really called Nettles and asked him to be interviewed. I just thought it was funny, because a lot of fans just want to watch the game without all the distractions.

To each their own, for me, there's more to the game than just action. I like to see the field/players between pitches on a full TV screen.

No, because Kay and Pauly don't beat a dead horse. And because.......
Kay and Pauly also talk about the other Yankee Stadium dimensions I mentioned.
I also never heard Kay or Pauly mention the short porch before they became announcers after a world series loss in a game in which they pitched when their team was on the losing end of such loss.
I also never heard Kay or Pauly make a comment like I read on here that Costas said Torres kind of blasted a HR. Why down play it? A HR is a HR.
The short porch is there for both teams. But as I read on here there were no snide remarks when a Royals player hit a HR to the short porch. How do you explain that?

Yeah, Kay and O’Neill do not pretend only the Yankees have access to the right field porch. Darling has been very good in my estimation though.

They mention it frequently...usually when a ball just clears the wall, regardless of which team hit it, so not sure what you mean by "beat a dead horse". Kay & every other announcer in MLB always comment on the elevation at Coors field, and used to comment re the short LF at Camden Yards...now they comment re the deep LF "robbing" HRs from guys like Gleyber. Nothing wrong with commenting on the unique qualities of any ballpark. Just simple factual observations...nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, Kay and O’Neill do not pretend only the Yankees have access to the right field porch. Darling has been very good in my estimation though. Been watching the game on mute, because in my opinion Costas talks too much. Only listen when there's a walk, strikeout or a ball put in play. Darling is an excellent announcer for the Mets during the regular season. One of the best in my opinion.
I read a what seems to me was a sarcastic post on here that mentioned Judge's 16 post season HRs meaning nothing. My guess is that someone must have said something negative about Judge's post season HRs. If I'm correct, my guess again that it wasn't Darling who did so.

If there's nothing more or nothing less maybe you can answer this question...Let me ask again..How do you explain that?

I believe it was Costas who said it, after he had prefaced it by making it clear that it wasn't meant as a slam on Judge. Several posters here have made the same observation.
