Guess that's the difference between me, you and apparently most others...I don't find that the least bit offensive. It's simply an interesting fact...nothing to get worked up about. Let me ask you this...do you believe Costas and others go out of their way to criticize Judge? Do you believe he has an anti-Judge/Yankee agenda? Did Costas give listeners any perspective on Judge's postseason struggles ? Did he bring up the names of guys like Willie Mays, Joe Morgan or Tony Perez who were disappointing in October ? Really??? Judge's struggles shouldn't be mentioned unless he also talks about the irrelevant postseason struggles of other Superstars? Seriously??

Estevez came in for Suarez to face Lindor, 1 out, bases loaded...and Lindor comes through again! Grand slam, and the Mets are up 4-1, on their way to the NLCS, it looks like. I wonder if the Phillies regret trading Seranthony Domínguez to the Orioles. Maybe, but Dominguez blew some games for the Orioles, too.

Holmes struck out Pasquantino in the 7th on Monday. Otherwise, he's never faced him. I know what you mean, but that sounds like a Yogi-isms. If I had more time to think, it would have been something like: "Pasquantino has never faced Holmes in the regular season, but he batted against him in Monday's game 2 and K'd." Not enough time in the moment; what are ya gonna do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure why was the rest of my posted edited out when it's relevant to what you replied to. What I said was...What I found was Costas repeating something that someone wrote about Boone having more forever postseason moments than Judge. Yes, Boone hit a big game ending, series ending HR. Yeah well, not that many players do that. Not sure why Judge had to be mentioned/singled out.
There's a whole laundry list of players that don't have the postseason moment that Boone had. Judge has 16 postseason HRs. To each their own, but I don't find it interesting when a former mediocre player is compared to a future Hall of Famer.
As far as your question, I can't say for sure if some have an agenda or not. But I asked you many posts ago if you can explain... Why was the short porch mentioned and not the other Yankees stadium dimensions mentioned where fly ball outs can be HRs in other ballparks? Why a snide comment about Torres HR to the short porch and not a snide comment when a Royals player hit a HR into the short porch?
Speaking of "beating dead horse", I think we may just about be there, but I'll do my best to answer your questions... He was talking about the Boone/Judge HR thing during a postseason game in a series in which Judge is struggling. Context. IMO it was a simple factual piece of amusing trivia...nothing more. Really don't understand why you or anyone else would take offense to it. Evidently you believe Costas doesn't respect Judge, although he went to great lengths to state otherwise. Re the short porch...if Costas sarcastically called Gelyber's HR a "blast", which he didn't when it was hit, so what? And as I said...how do we know it was sarcasm? Apparently you and others feel Costas has an anti-Yankees agenda, although it's been pointed out here that he was a Yankee fan who idolized Mantle and delivered his eulogy. What I read was ""Something that "approached" a blast from Torres." Why the sarcasm for one HR (Torres) and not the other HR (Royals player)?
As I said in the post that you replied to "I can't say for sure if some have an agenda or not."
As I said not that many players hit game ending, series ending HRs. Boone did, Judge hasn't. So what? What's so interesting about that since 1000s of players haven't hit game ending, series ending HRs.

I don't care. If Costas compared Judge to Boone, he owed it to casual fans to put Judge's work in context. Like Judge the standards are higher for Costas, a HOFer. Avid fans know some great players were bad in October and some average guys great. A HOF broadcaster should commumicate the history of the game. And maybe he did. I did not hear the entire broadcast/

Frankly, I find most of the complaining to be hypersensitive whining...very unbecoming of fans of the most storied professional sports team in the history of the game.

Does anyone care that when it comes to hitting, that Bobby Thomson has more forever postseason moments than Mays?

Does anyone care that when it comes to hitting, that Bobby Thomson has more forever postseason moments than Mays? Bucky Dent, too. Although technically, that HR was a regular season game. Bucky did have a great World Series in 1978, along with Brian Doyle after Willie Randolph got hurt.

I know; just lamenting that I don't have to time to polish every reply as much as I'd like to; not in the game thread. In other threads, I revise and edit my replies, sometimes multiple times. In the game thread, they vanish into the ether because of the constant flow of game action. I do go back and edit some of my replies in the game threads for factual errors sometimes when there's a break in the action; don't want people who read the thread after the game to be confused.

Bob, again, it's MLB/entertainment. So your cartoon drawing applies to MLB in general, including some baseball related things that annoy you.
