Either matchup would be fine with me if the yankees make it. Yankees-Cubs would probably be the highest rated series in years as they both in the top 5 fan bases. Can't even imagine the potential ticket prices on that series. Yankees-Dodgers is old school rivalry that hasn't been renewed since 1981 (11 World series between the two Yankees lead 8-3). Cubs and Yankees played twice once in 1932 once in 1938 Yankees swept both.

Geez, it only took the Dodgers one pitch to get a run off Keuchel.

This is the hottest post season game of all time, with temps @ 100, plus the meanie Dodgers made Dallas warm up in the bullpen that was in the bright sun. Kershaw's pen was in the shade.

Rooting for Houston. Their team has much more soul than LA.

Rooting for Houston. Their team has much more soul than LA. I'll have to disagree with you here, GF. After playing them for seven games, I've grown to hate them and their lineup. And I already hated Koo-chel and Verlander. So go LA!

Altuve is a fiery little shit. Reminds me of Pedroia because of his size and his "spunkiness". I love to hate players like that. I hate them, not for who they are, but for not being Yankees...

I have a lot of respect for Darvish after reading his reply to reporters who asked him about the gesture...He called it disrespectful and said that Gurriel would learn from his mistake. Wow. Nothing hateful in return, didn't deny that he didn't like the gesture, but seemed to be immediately ready to forgive and forget. Move on to the next subject, folks. Nothing to see here. I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them have already spoken and shook hands, ready to move on. My personal thoughts turn to where Gurriel came from and wondering what the culture there is like. I'm thinking that he's suffering more from lack of education and socialization than he may from bigotry. Hell, he's facing bigotry every day in this country, so I doubt he's insensitive to it. Give him a break. He needs counseled more than he does punished, but I realize that at least for the symbolism it provides there will likely be a disciplinary action taken... Any of you that don't remember my saying it in the past: I grew up in a very prejudiced environment. It didn't matter what race you were, if you weren't lily white my family wasn't cutting you any breaks. Anything from over-top caricature-type imitations to use of any slur you can think of for any race or religion all passed over our dinner table...Even today, my "Christian" brother will use the slurs. I live 1700 miles away from my nearest family member now, so I don't personally see or hear this stuff anymore, but I'm proud of the advances that I made on my own and recognize the prejudices that I still suffer from from time to time and continue to work to fix them...We are all human, and we'd do better to adapt a stance like Darvish did than to continue to advance hate by not "allowing" people to say what they think or believe. A bigot can only be uncovered if he speaks. When that happens, dialog is opened, and advancements can be made... Reverend Martin Luther King courageously stood in front of crowds to deliver messages of cure, and in the end it wound up costing him his life. We should all be so brave as to speak what we feel and to allow others to do so, just so long as the words don't end in violence...yet we can't fear the violence and we must speak up...
