Big G turns into Mr October. When PS comes, he ramps up to a higher level. Just hope Judge gets it going as he hasn't done much with his bat.

Big G wins the Mr. G. Fitting… As Mr. G would say, "When Stanton hits, we win!"

do think it's close between stanton and weaver. you can't have one w/o the other. they're probably co-mvps but picking one, have to give the nod to G over weaver. in game 3, G's offense gave weaver a lead to protect. in game 4, his insurance run gave him some breathing room. thought gleyber played a big part in the series win. 2-run HR in game 1 and knocking in the 2nd run in game 4. verdugo has to get some for a great game 1. 2 hits, 2 runs scored and the game winning hit. soto provided cole the lead in game 4 and for generally being a steady presence in the lineup and for "gunning" out perez at the plate in game 1.
besides weaver, yeah holme's pitching contribution was huge. cole, hard hit or not, 7 strong in the game we needed him to step up in and he did.
interestingly both stanton & holmes were 2 of the most reviled yankees for much of the season. and folks here were groaning and questioning cashman when we first got weaver, calling him another of his famous dumpster dives. guess he was right. nobody here would have predicted that he would turn into a lights out closer.

No love for Gleyber… he’s been having a great series!
