Torres fouls off a 1st pitch FB above middle, 0-1 Throw over. FB 4-5 inches above the outside corner, takes it, 1-1 Slider higher but more inside, taken, 2-1 Gleyber; what is you doin'? Chases a FB high that would've been ball 3 with Soto on deck.  |

Weaver bails Boone out and does with such few pitches that he should be fine for the 9th. Mo-lite? Mariano, Jr.? Rivera Deuce? Terminator II? He has ice water in his veins for sure. |

On 2-2 has to offer at a FB near the corner up and away, might have been ball 4 if he'd taken the one before. Spoils it, still 2-2.
Slider bounced past Hedges, Verdugo gets to 2nd anyway, 3-2 on Torres.

This at bat is a prime example of why Gleyber is such a frustrating player. He just doesn't have much baseball sense.

FB on the outer edge, maybe 1-2% on Gameday, up in the zone, hit hard but right to Naylor, who takes it to the bag, inning over. So Soto doesn't get the chance he should with 2 on and 2 out to put this out of reach.

J. Naylor (1-4 with a RBI single and 2 K's)
