Should have scored some runs off Bibee in the 1st. Looks like he's settled in now.

Judge chases another cutter going outside, knee high, pulled off it again. 0-1 Takes his timeout. Curve in the zone low and away, taken, 0-2He'd better start looking away, stepping in and going to right. Cutter well outside at the knees, 1-2 Cutter even further outside, Judge takes, 2-2 Curve goes low, outer 3rd, Judge swings over it for the K. Can't pitch Judge just one way Darling? Bibee just did it, because Judge isn't looking away and going to right. He has to adjust.
Bottom 3, 1-0 Guardians. 12 pitch 1-2-3 for Bibee, getting Rodon right back out there. Only thing the Yanks did right that inning was all three batters took their timeout, getting Rodon another minute-plus of rest. Rocchio, then back to the top for Kwan and Fry for the Guardians in the 3rd inning.

Don't expect an infield hit from Naylor. He looks like Babe Ruth in his last season. Maybe closer to John Goodman when he played Babe Ruth. But, like Ruth, he's more mobile and athletic than he looks. He's the Chris Farley of MLB. I saw him in AZFL when he was in the Padres organization. Thought he'd never make it to the bigs.

Should have scored some runs off Bibee in the 1st. Looks like he's settled in now. Indeed, Tanner "Maybe The Dingo Ate Your" Bibee is in a groove right now, but all it takes is one less than stellar inning to put runs on the board. I would not swing at his first pitch unless it is fastball middle in to stop getting strike one on a slider off the plate.

Rocchio takes a FB up and away, ball 1. Flies open again, hangs the slider up and away, 2-0 Oboy. Doesn't finish the curve, that stays up and away, ball 3. Takes a get it over FB at 94, outside middle, 3-1 Same pitch a bit higher, fouled off, 3-2 Bounces the change inside, ball 4 and Rodon is now off his game.

Kwan takes a FB that nicked the outside corner waist high, not called, <5% on Gameday. 1-0 Cutter 93 misses high, inner half, 2-0 FB above middle, late and under, fouled back, 2-1 Cutter near middle middle, hit to center, jammed himself a bit, Judge comes in a few steps, catches, 1 down.

Fry swings over a 1st pitch curve below and outside middle, 0-1. Good idea to mix in more curve and changes to get him refocused. FB up and in, big swing, fouled back. 0-2 Good...very good!!! Change drops low on the outer 3rd, chases and misses, K, 2 down.

Good job by Rodon after the leadoff walk, keeping this game score right where it was.

Ramirez... Takes a curve dropping waist high, outer half. 0-1 Throw over on Rochhio. FB tails about 3-4 inches outside, waist high, foul tipped, 0-2 Cutter well high, inside corner, takes it, 1-2 Dials it up to 98.2, FB well up and away, he chases it and hits it hard to the right of 2nd, but Torres is right there, goes to a knee to make sure, fields and throws him out, inning over.
Whoever had the idea to use the curve and change more, it was a good one, got Rodon back in control. Maybe it was pre-programmed before the game for the 2nd time through the order, I dunno.
Top 4, 1-0 Guardians. 16 pitches in the 3rd, 58 through 3 for Rodon. Stanton, Chisholm and Rizzo for the Yanks in the 4th.
