The bonehead move by Boone last night compounds itself as he used up his pitchers. If not for his move the Yanks would be playing with house money now. The silver lining is maybe this is Boone’s last year. There's not really house money against this Dodgers team in any situation. But yeah, going to Cortes was too risky. And sometimes, a big mistake in the first game can be decisive. Not many times, but some. |

Sinker outside at the knees, tried to back it over the corner, and Wells tried to pull it back, but no sale, 2-2
No chance slider way low and outside bounces away from Wells, 3-2.
Sinker above and inside middle, lined to deep center, off the way over Judge for a leadoff double.
Last 6 Dodgers hitters: line single, 2 run HR to right, solo HR to right, double to center, lineout to the LF corner, double over Judge's head.

He's out of his depth, doesn't look anything like his usual self. He's rushing...or something.

Sinker misses outside, gets a charity call, waist high, 3-2. Missed by 3 inches, 0% on Gameday, bad call.
Sinker below middle, grounded to the right side, Torres fields, throws him out, 2 down as Smith moves on to 3rd.
