Yanks DO NOT DIE LIKE DOGS, break out in a big way, 3 homers, 4 doubles, 5 steals, just 4 K's and pound the Dodgers, 11-4.
Survive for a Game 5 tomorrow with the team's ace on normal rest, ready to go.

I kinda did. He's had so many arm injuries, missed four full seasons, and finally worked himself back to the majors, and was doing reasonably well as a long man. Plus, everyone dreams about going to the World Series. They don't dream about that. Yeah, that too. |

OK. Yanks show some cajones, get off the mat, down 3-0 in games, take the first punch in the gut right away, yet another HR from Freeman, his fourth in four games. Get a monstrous slam from Volpe on a hanging slider in the only place he can pull the slider with power, down and in, a solo shot from Wells, and break it open on 5 in the 7th, including a RBI grounder from Verdugo after an 11 pitch battle, and a 3-run shot from Gleyber. Even Judge woke up and knocked in a run. Gil battled through 4 innings, and big time relief work from Holmes (for a win in the World Series!), Leiter and Weaver before they broke it open. They even gave Mayza a moment in the sun with a 1-2-3 9th inning. Yanks force still face an enormous mountain in front of them, down 3-1, but didn't go down without any fight at all, and their reward is that they live to fight another day, another elimination game against them. Yanks play again tomorrow, and don't have to wait until April.  |
