Lux takes a FB at the knees for a strike FB outer 3rd, fouled off, 0-2 FB tails up and outside at 97, 1-2 Bad slider in the down and in drop the bat zone, but he's early, pulls it foul FB up and in makes him spin away from it, 2-2 Flies open on the change, missed outside by more than a foot, 3-2 Slider BELOW the inner 3rd by about 3-4 inches, he drops the bat on it, pulled down the first base line, hits the kickwall, and it's an easy leadoff double for Lux.

Unreal, the second guy grabbing Betts' arm while the other was ripping the ball out of his glove. They should have given those guy's tickets to qwik and his nephew. Maybe the fans are trying harder than the Yankees... They didn't do their job and go for the ball before it got to his glove.

FB waist high, inside corner at 98, Edman jumps all over it, lines it hard, but Gil and the Yanks get a HUGE break, as it goes right to Rizzo, and he quickly doubles Lux off 2nd. Lux caught leaning the wrong way, had no chance of getting back.
Bottom 2nd, 2-0. Gil's pitch count back in order because of the 2 pitch double play, 11 in the 2nd, 38 through 2, but they're hitting him HARD.
Rizzo, Volpe and Wells for the Yanks in the 2nd.

Maybe the fans are trying harder than the Yankees... They didn't do their job and go for the ball before it got to his glove. Could have been a homer as it was over the wall. That wasn't the back will, it was the side wall, and it was either a foul ball or an out.

Just give us a big inning and a little excitement. We didn't root all year to see them go out with a whimper in a sweep.

Every ball they hit down the line stays fair. To win a World Series, luck certainly plays a part in a seven-game series. The old game of inches refrain.

We match their WS MVP with a busted ankle with our 1B with 2 broken fingers and haven't hit a HR since last year.
