Brasier pitching here in the 4th. Leadoff HR to right for Stanton to make it 5-0.
Rizzo hammers one to the gap but Mookie dives to his right and backhands it, taking away at least a single and maybe more.
I am reminded of the old Garry Maddox joke; 2/3 of the Earth's surface is covered by water, the other 1/3 is covered by Garry Maddox.

Top 4, 5-0 Yanks.
Cole starts the 4th at 36 pitches, and he'll face Betts, Freeman and T. Hernandez.

I think he got hosed on a walk that last AB. For as long as the Yankees can make this series last we need Stanton to stay hot. Take a walk if he can but he can't lose the swing. Indeed!!! |

It was great to see old friends and party. Not as good as coming home to a 4-0 lead 5-0 lead, but still...great. You would have had a lot fun doing those first 3 innings. |

Betts takes a FB inside, ball 1.
FB on the outside corner, taken, 1-1
Slider misses just outside, 2-1, missed by an inch on Gameday.
Cutter 6 inches outside, ball 3.
FB down the middle, Betts late and under, pops it foul off 1st, just out of play, 3-2
Gets under a slider misses way high and also inside, ball 4. Leadoff walk for Betts. This walks are giving a chance for the Dodgers to strike back, plus running up Cole's pitch count.
