Volpe for the tie, Wells for the win... Why not have the younger players make history!!!!!

In game 3, against Buehler... Volpe K'd twice Wells K'd twice Verdugo K'd, then walked
0-5 with 5 K's and a walk. Not great.

Really puts things in perspective. I'll be praying for you noetsi. thanks hopefully it will be nothing. Just a bad lab I had a test last year indicating prostate cancer. The test (PSA?) had jumped significantly. Retest by the specialist was normal. Bad test. Hope you have a similar result.

Volpe... FB yanked low and outside at 96, 1-0 FB thigh high, outside corner at 95, taken, 1-1 Curve dropping low, Volpe out front, nubs it foul off the end of the bat, 1-2 Humps up to 97, but yanks it outside, taken, 2-2 Curve above middle, topped to 3rd, Munch fields and throws him out. Volpe was on time and made good contact, but couldn't adjust to the drop. 92.4 on that grounder.

I sure hope he loves it here and feels there is unfinished business in NY.
So sad to have a 5-0 lead and just collapse in errors and miscues.
I think Soto is going to the highest bidder, regardless where. Yup, and Hal is going to have to pony up. I think they are prepared. They may even be able to trade dump Stanton now that he is showing out this post season. If not dump Rizzo and Verdugo for sure.

Wells takes a curve in the zone, near middle, 0-1 Takes a curve down and in. FB mayyybbeee missed inside above the knees at 98, 2-1 Gameday says <5% strike, so Wells got a small break. Curve on the outside corner, thigh high, fouled, 2-2 Curve winds up in the middle but low, and Wells is early, pulls it foul off 1st. Yanks the FB down and in at 97. 3-2 I would expect a curve for a strike here.

Regardless of how great G has been these playoffs, nobody is taking on that contract. I don't see any way Rizzo or Verdugo are back.

And it was a curve in the zone, low and away, swung over for the K, 2 down. 12 pitches; not enough.
