Volpe... FB yanked low and outside at 96, 1-0 FB thigh high, outside corner at 95, taken, 1-1 Curve dropping low, Volpe out front, nubs it foul off the end of the bat, 1-2 Humps up to 97, but yanks it outside, taken, 2-2 Curve above middle, topped to 3rd, Munch fields and throws him out. Volpe was on time and made good contact, but couldn't adjust to the drop. 92.4 on that grounder. the bottom of the line up is not exactly elite. Last inning was the big chance. Agreed. But they only need one good swing to tie it. Probably won't happen; you're right. |
