Oh well, the only consolation I have is its just sports. Besides that, as a Yankee fan that's about as bad as it gets.

For pulling CC and for not challenging. Now pulling CC at least that is a "baseball move." It may have been the wrong one, but it at least made some sense. Not challenging is just a total brain fart. A total choke. Any moron would have challenged there. It's inexcusable.

The only thing I can say is this team has been streaky all year. They win a couple lose a couple. Tanaka with the season on the line though not the greatest thing for sure.

I am very upset and angry. I watched every single pitch tonight, didn't miss a single pitch for a bathroom or food break for a second.
All I will say is this:
For the first time I genuinely want Girardi fired. It's probably because I'm just so angry, but I want him gone. That is the absolute worst managerial performance I've seen from a Yankee manager ever.

I think what makes it worse is in the press conference he doesn't even accept it was wrong and uses some excuse about ruining green's rhythm.

What sucks the most is that we were this close to going home with Tanaka and Severino and a chance to win the series at home. Now we have to win three in a row against an incredible Indians team.

Second worst loss I have ever seen in my years of watching the Yankees. Only 2nd ? For me nothing tops 2001 World Series Game 7 and 2004 ALCS Game 7.

Thats what annoys me they only needed to split these road games. I expected yesterdays game to be this and todays to be the 4-0 loss. To not win either game just sucks, but this is at home. Best you can hope is get it to 5, because anything can happen in a 1 game scenario. I dunno what it is about when the yankees are a wildcard team they just don't have the same success. 1 WC game loss, 3 ALDS losses, 1 ALCS loss, 0 WS appearances.

I don’t understand why he felt like not challenging there was appropriate. I’m not perfect on MLB rules, but I don’t think they have a limit on how many challenges you can have in a game, or am I wrong? Also, Gary Sanchez was ADAMANT from the moment the ump made the call that the ball hit the bat. As a former catcher, you would think Girardi would appreciate that, but not Joe.
As for everything else; it was absolutely horrible that he pulled CC. Especially when you think about how he left him in AFTER he gave up a leadoff walk. Now I know Jay Bruce is a lefty and we know how Joe is about matchups. Plus it was the bottom of the order with Jackson and Gomes coming up. Should’ve left CC in there and let Green come in to start a clean inning. You could also make an argument here that when Green got in trouble, Joe should’ve went with Robertson/Betances/Chapman to face Lindor. Last year Tito didn’t care what inning it was, when he needed an out, he called on his guys to get that out and sort it out later. This bullpen is the most expensive in baseball and it’s completely inexcusable to get cute during that situation.
Anyway, I feel a little better that I got that off my chest lol. Robertson and Betances pitched great tonight, Chapman also. Give Bruce credit for laying off those 2 curve balls and forcing Robertson to throw him a fastball. He got his pitch and he crushed. Betances probably went 1 too many, but his manager should’ve pulled him knowing he was so slow to the plate with Jackson at first. Did he really think Tito wouldn’t steal there? Come on, Joe!
Ok, I’m off my soapbox. See you all, Sunday

I was forgetting the 2001 World Series Game 7. That was pretty heartbreaking. I guess the 1995 ALDS loss was pretty bad too. But I'd rank this one over that one.
