Seems like the Yankees are responsible for about 25% of Baltimore's wins.

what is his philosophy?......rest? Basically. You throw away 5 games resting guys and that wins you 10 extra games across the season from keeping guys fresh. So net gain of 5 wins or so. We’re going to have to run the table in September at this rate to prove his philosophy out.

What garbage managing by Boone. I really hope his philosophy pays dividends in September. I don’t know how many more games the Yankees can give away like this by playing B/C squads in the name of rest. A series you have to sweep and the AS break upcoming, this game should have been all hands on deck. This team is going to risk a quick WC exit and have plenty of rest to look forward to on the golf course in October if they don’t start playing every game like it matters. what is his philosophy?......rest?.....I don't want to over-simplify it, because it's obviously not the same thing, and yet it is...when I was 25 or so I had a 50-60 hr-a-week job....was going to graduate school, and played in a city league with late-afternoon practices or games 5 days a week.....these fit and chiseled athletes need rest because they are maybe working 6-7 hr days including the games, workouts and hanging around?...……...this is a bunch of $*it...…….. Did they have “crying rooms”at your University? No Did your mommy go on Facebook to shame a kid who bullied you in school? No. You beat the shit out of the kid and the bullying stooped. Did you spend every waking moment you were not in school playing video games? No. You were active as a young kid Did my father get to walk around with an interpreter while trying to scratch a living selling t shirts and panties in a rat hole in Jax Fla in 1961? No! But these overpayed overhyped punks can’t even make an effort to learn a second language after they’ve worked here for years. You listening #24/#54 What do you expect??

I say that is BS...….if the Yankees do manage to win the East, I hope to never read it was because Boone rested players.....if the Yankees win, it will be despite a philosophy like that......I have hoped to see at least one more title....this is a championship team, maybe a good starter short, and we're not ripping out throats and taking prisioners…...grrrrrr……..

Welcome to the new school of managing. Soon you won’t see a single player in the league exceed 130 games per season.

That said, the Yankees have the best bullpen in baseball, but when the manager waits until after the starter chokes away the lead to utilize it, you're pretty much minimizing it's strength.

Ha! That's funny! On the message board where I went to school they did a similar thing to the toxic former basketball coach's name. Type it and it comes out "[name redacted]."

That’s what happens when you are obsessed with resting your pen so you force CC to pitch one inning longer that what’s sensible. On top of that you have Walker playing to rest Bird and he boots a double play ball. That loss is 100% on Boone managing like a bozo. He did everything he could to handcuff the team.

I have to agree. It was a head scratcher leaving in CC when it was clear he was done. Hopefully Boone learns from this. Girardi had took quick a hook with CC... Boone had a lot of success sticking with CC this year... But it burned him tonight when it was clear CC didn't have it and the ump was screwing him
