So, you anticipate this great pitching duel, and so do the pitchers themselves. In this case perhaps they’re thinking that the Cy Young Award May hang in the balance.
Perhaps they both get themselves a bit over-amped and go out there trying to do too much? Perhaps in some cases one of the two pitchers in a game like this is over-amped and it turns out lopsided.
What a strange game baseball is...But... no different from any other sport...just hope we win the battle of the bullpens today...

Happ getting lit up again tonight. BoSox gonna get 10 in a row. Isnt that like 3 games in a row that Happ's been ineffective? Do we really need another Sonny Gray?

Or like that kid back in third grade that had the whole pack of 96 crayons with the built in sharpener, and wasn’t willing to let you borrow his burnt sienna? Happ is on the down side of a fairly decent career. Plenty of 35 year olds have pitched well down the stretch, and plenty have stunk it up... I really fon’t Care to get him. If all we can do is pick out of the dumpster for rotten fruit, we may as well use our babies and hope one is fresh and ripe... |
