Is Lobel's a better option than a Jersey Mike's philly cheesesteak? I think they are both very good, just different. As a Jersey guy, I love Jersey Mikes in general. Thats more of your classic philly cheesesteak as you'd imagine it. The Lobel's sandwich is more of a juicy prime rib sandwich.

No cheese, just steak, from their butcher shop and cooked and sliced there. I went off of wheat (and other stuff) a few months ago and had it without the bread, so literally just sliced steak and it was awesome.

Masahiro Tanaka - S - Yankees
Masahiro Tanaka was brilliant in Sunday's critical victory over the Indians in Game 3 of the ALDS, allowing just three hits over seven shutout innings.
Tanaka walked one and punched out seven on the night. The Indians only mounted one real threat against him, when Jason Kipnis tripled with one out in the fourth inning, but Tanaka fanned Jose Ramirez and Jay Bruce to diffuse the situation. When he's on his game and locating well, he's among the most dominant hurlers in all of baseball, and that was certainly the case on Sunday.

Aroldis Chapman - R - Yankees
Aroldis Chapman secured a five-out save on Sunday, protecting a one-run advantage against the Indians in Game 3 of the ALDS.
No stranger to the pressures of the postseason, Chapman was summoned with a man on and one out in the eighth inning. He blew away Yan Gomes and Giovanny Urshela to end that threat and remained in the game for the night. Things got interesting after a pair of one-out singles by Jason Kipnis and Jose Ramirez, but he battled back to strike out Jay Bruce and get Carlos Santana on a fly ball to end the ballgame.

Brett Gardner - OF - Yankees
Brett Gardner went 1-for-4 with a double as the Yankees found a way to stave off elimination and defeat the Indians on Sunday.
Gardner was a spark plug atop the Bombers' lineup in the regular season, but has struggled to the tune of just .188/.278/.438 so far in the postseason.

Greg Bird - 1B - Yankees
Greg Bird crushed a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning on Sunday, powering the Yankees to a 1-0 victory over the Indians in Game 3 of the ALDS.
After dropping the first two games of the series, the Bombers were in a must-win situation as the series shifted to New York on Sunday. The game wound up being an outstanding pitcher's duel between Carlos Carrasco and Masahiro Tanaka. The Yankees finally broke through when Bird squared up an Andrew Miller offering in the seventh and deposited it into the upper deck in right field. Bird finished the day 1-for-2 and is slashing .308/.471/.769 with a pair of long balls and four RBI already in the postseason.

Girardi just got booed loudly in introductions. Curious to hear how that sounded from GF later since he is there. It was really loud. Surprisingly so. You guys know where I stand on Girardi. Haven't enjoyed him as a manager from the start. But I did not participate in this.

Of the two its hard to compare, because Jersey Mikes is a literal philly cheesesteak cut up very thin with onions peppers etc while like GF said the lobels one is real steak sliced up. However, there is a third steak that is pretty that I have gotten quite often and that is the NYY Steak booth which is in left field right across from the Jersey Mikes which also has a prime rib kind of sandwich which I think is very good. That one has the option of cheese, onions, and peppers, or just plain if you wanted it that way.

Unbelievable game last night to be at the stadium. Nice warm welcome richly deserved for Girardi. But pleased to see the crowd loudly cheer Severino. Tanaka was amazing. The offense was frustrating but I give Carrasco credit. Terrific job by Tanaka pitching out of trouble after that triple/error by Judge on a ball he should have caught, but Judge redeemed himself with the catch on the Lindor fly ball that would have been a HR if not for him. Incredible jonb by Bird against Miller, of course. The place went bananas when that ball got in the air. My 7yo and I screamed our lungs out after that one. Thought Judge and Sanchez pressed a little when they came up with Gardner on 2nd and 1st base open. In the end it didn't matter because Chapman made the 1 run hold up. Last inning was pretty tense in the stadium which made the result even more satisfying. Incredible experience for my family. As for what's next, the Prophet Mariano Duncan said it best in 1996, "We Play Today, We Win Today. Das It!" Glad you and the boys had a great time at the game! I bet you guys were going nuts over the Judge catch and Bird HR! I love the Lobel's steak sandwiches too! Get it every time if possible. I'm telling you its good luck every time a member of the forum goes to the game. First it was me in the wild card game, then you in Game 3, now chs is going in Game 4! We can't lose! We just need someone to fly to Cleveland for Game 5 now!

By the way, I tried to post pictures during the game last night but apparently I am too old to figure out how to do that If you're visiting the forum in your browser you'll need to switch to the desktop version of the forum via the button on the bottom right of the page as the Add Attachment button on the posting page isn't available on the mobile version. If you're using the Tapatalk app on iOS or Android you should have an attachment option available when creating a post.

They'll all be sitting in seats provided by ESPN...
