Well fellas, after we won the WC game I bought tickets to Game 4. So whether the game is tomorrow or Tuesday I won't be in the game thread with you fine gents, but let's push this to game 5.

We live to play on. Sevy needs to come up big tomorrow. I doubt we play tomorrow. I think it gets rained out and we play Tuesday and get Bauer on full rest. The good news is that our bullpen will be fully locked and loaded. |

Often in a 1-0 game the team MVP is easily the starting pitcher...sometimes the reliever that stopped a big jam. Tonight, we have to decide between Tanaka, Judge, and Bird...and we even have to think about Chapman as well. The man probably has to take an I.V. to replace all the fluids he lost sweating though 5 outs and a couple of hits that...well the one that Frazier caught was ripped, but he almost stopped that from being a hit...Kipnis didn't hit his ball all that hard...
I thought Girardi had too quick of a hook for the starter again tonight...If he didn't trust D-Rob any further than one base runner, why pitch him at all? And why risk making Chapman throw that many pitches? Now, he's gassed for tomorrow. The most we could ask of him is to come in and get a lefty out sometime, or a one out save...One more inning, even one more out from Tanaka would have been huge...

Using Robertson like that was strange. But I won't complain because it worked out okay. Who knows if Tanaka would have given up a HR in a 1-0 game??? And they might not play tomorrow because of rain, so Chapman will have a day rest. |

Tanaka said in the post game that it might have been the right time to take him out with his breaking stuff fading a bit for what its worth.
