As deeply played as the shift was on the first base side, Hicks may have bunted for a hit and an RBI. Same thing I was thinking... Then you sir are a mind reader. Or, maybe you just thought they were playing really deep.

Anderson has speed and power. He also hits around .210. Does that make him an impoverished man’s Eric Davis???

Deep minds think alike. Only a few know how deep my mind goes. You are one of the few...

Now we get the bullpen. This game should now become easy...

Garcia with a putrid .020 differential between his BA and his OBP...dang. .265/.285? That’s almost not possible..

Why use Britton or Chapman for the 9th when Holder is available?

Garcia with a putrid .020 differential between his BA and his OBP...dang. .265/.285? That’s almost not possible.. He needs to get hit a couple times to improve his OBP. I was just checking the career numbers of the forgettable one-time Yankee prospect Oscar Azocar. He finished at .224/.248/.296 in 460 career plate appearances. He got helped out by being HBP twice AND one of his career total of 12 BB was intentional...As far as I know Azocar is the champion of low BA/OBP differential for a career among all position players...With that batting line he would have never gotten an int. Walk if not for the pitcher batting...
