The Saints looked much better this Sunday against the Bucs at Tampa Bay. Too many costly penalties, though. The Bucs had five first down due to penalties, two of which were rather ghostly, though.
Atlanta, meanwhile, thoroughly routed Carolina. Suddenly, the Falcons went from abjectly awful to a team no one wants to play in the second half. Strange game.

I find the league very confusing right now. There are very few consistent teams. The Pats looked strong to start the season and I still think their defense is very good but it is clear their record was the result of very weak competition. Many teams are riddled with injuries - like the Bucs yesterday who might have recruited from this group to fill out the secondary. Baltimore seems legit to me on both sides of the ball. SF is a serious team. Beyond that I am not sure who is really all that good. |
