Anyone else been watching football long enough to remember when the Ram’s QB was Roman Gabriel?...How about when all uniforms on TV were in monochromatic range of white, greys, black???

Gosh, Rizz. Had no idea what you were going through, but was wondering why I hadn’t seen any posts from you. It’s Sunday here and on my way to mass. Will say a humble prayer and light a candle both you and inger. Words do no justice.

Ditto me. Rizzuto has handled this gracefully for an apparently long time. My admiration to him for doing so...Including now. We can keep our lives secret on here, or we can reveal them. Either is okay, but somehow this little group has a way of uplifting and supporting each other...I don’t completely understand that, but I happily accept it...
And then to think of the geographic area that’s covered... wow. We could almost rename the gang Yankee Fans of the World, but somehow that would probably dilute us.
The “News”, York and Jersey. Pennsylvania. Formerly MD, CO, KY, then MD again and now CO again. Florida, Singapore (really?), Louisiana, Hawaii, Illinois... who/where am I missing?...We’ve lost Utah and California refused to join our union...

Once again, I'm so sorry you guys are going through this right now. I feel very helpless. Inger and Rizzuto, you two mean a lot to me. When you hurt, I hurt too. Big hugs from me. Hang in there.

Thanks for thinking of me, Inger. It’s been a tough road lately. My wife died on January 4 after a long battle with cancer. She was only 48 years old. We were married for 26 years. Our relationship was always so easy. Never one harsh word between us. We were so very happy. So much laughter and kindness. We had so many plans, so many more memories to make. I miss my girl. I'm so sorry to hear that Rizzuto. May her soul rest in peace. That must be impossibly tough for you. I can't imagine what you're going through right now, but I'm there for you if you need to talk to someone. Rizzuto: So sorry to hear this news. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
I too, like so many of us, have lost love ones so close to us.
What I do, to help me during these sad times is to do Special Acts of Goodness in the Love One's Name/Memorey. This has helped me get thru these tough times, of losing a loved one.
Again, sorry for your lost.

Rizzuto -- deepest condolences to you, friend. I can only imagine the anguish. Given the hand we are all dealt, the fact that you had 26 years of beautiful marriage is a gift that can not be measured. Taken far too soon, but still your life has been blessed. Prayers up to you and your forever wife.

Of course, I included Pipps when I said Pennsylvania, but I could have said anywhere and everywhere with the exception of Antarctica.
Which reminds me... We hear a lot about the northern pole melting. It stands to reason the South Pole is also melting, but with less publicity because it’s not inhabited. I’m wondering if some of the land msss we could lose on the other six continents will be replaced by land uncovered in the Antarctic, which could become habitable. Just a thought...I really have no idea...
I also have to wonder if evolution could outrace any warming trend we could experience, and if I should have brought this up on the political rant thread... (:
But then again, is simply wondering about something a rant? I think not... 🤔
Pipps, if you get a moment, would you mind terribly just running down to Antarctica and checking this out? And bring back a loaf of bread while you’re out...maybe some Chips, too. Lightly salted...

How about an upset special for the Chargers today? Chargers 30 Patriots 17 Why? Why not?... I have to hand it to the Patriots. My forecasts yesterday weren’t too bad, but this one... nowhere close.

Pats came to play today. Brilliant defensive gameplan. Rivers has had very little time and almost nobody open all day.
