Because it’s all a vast left wing conspiracy fueled in large part by the media, right, mich? Yeah, yeah... the one constant in this whole episode is the sad, ragged reporting of Fox News commentators and the Ann Coulter’s, Rush Limbaughs of the world who continually egg this moron on.
Anyway, back to The central theme of this denial by the Muehler team- “characterization of documents and testimony”. We will have to wait and see what that means. That is the crux of the statement. I don’t know what that means precisely and neither do you. Like I said, true or false, I am against any leaks, news releases or speculation that interferes with Muehlers work, but that doesn’t preclude that happening in a free society. If you have some ideas regarding amendments to the constitution to muzzle the free flow of ideas and news, especially since the vast quantity comes from despicable, right wing racist sites, I’m all ears.

The media isn’t going to determine Trump’s guilt or innocence. Congress and Mueller will. You are correct, inger, but BuzzFeed didn’t do their industry any favors. I wish they and Fox wold shut up and let the special prosecutor do his job.
BTW, mich, you keep referring to me as a lefty. I was thinking just today how I have voted since I started in 1980: Reagan (80), Reagan(84), Bush Sr. (88), Bush Sr. (92), Clinton (96), WBush(00), Kerry (04), McCain (08), Obama (12), none of the above (16). I have voted Republican 6 times and Democrat 3 times with one abstention. I believe that outside of Lincoln, Washington and T. Roosevelt, there have not been any what I would call great Presidents, but the second tier would include FDR, Reagan, Jefferson and maybe Eisenhower and Monroe. The worst Presidents ever would include Coolidge, Harding, Hoover, Carter and Jackson, but none of those buffoons can hold a candle to Trump when it comes to ineptness, dishonesty, selfishness, ignorance, undeserved vanity, arrogance (for no reason, unlike say, Muhammed Ali), cowardice, boorishness and in reality, insecurity. I guess that’s why you think I’m a lefty.

--With all of Trump’s Lies & Crap, plus, his Corrupt Ways; reminds me of the story of the African Wild Dog; that I heard many years ago.
I have adapted the story to fit the current situation with Donald.

A solo small Wild Dog (also known as the African Painted Dog), is wandering the Serengeti in Africa; he has been expelled from his Pack.
He was once the Leader of the Pack known as ‘The GOP Pack’.
He was known as ‘Donald; Leader of the ‘The GOP Pack’.
Now he was just a Lone, Lost, Disgraced, Shamed, Hungry, etc. Wild African Dog.
He was expelled from the Pack, for being a being a Compulsive Serial Liar, Incompetent, a Bully, a Racist, Corrupt, etc. etc. etc.
The list of grievances the Pack had against Donald, the Wild African Dog is too many to list here…
For days now, Donald has wondered the plains trying to hunt for food with no-luck; for the Wild African Dogs only Eat/Survive, if they Hunt as a Pack.
Even though he was in Dire Straits, Donald refused to accept any blame for his dismissal from the Pack.
Instead, he blamed his Own Kind, The Birds, The Weather, Other Predators, etc. etc. etc. (for Donald the Wild African Dog NEVER EVER held himself accountable for ANYTHING, ever…).
As he walked the Plains, he fumed with Hatred, like never seen before in the Grand Animal Kingdom.
If he could have eaten his Hate, he would never have to hunt again; that is how much Vile Disgusting Hate he carried with him (like a typical Bully).
After 7-days without food, he knew that his time was limited, if he did not eat soon.
Like a gift from the Animal Gods, he came upon a fresh dead huge Female Wildebeest (she had been known as ‘Citizen’ and had been the Leader of the Wildebeest Herd known as ‘Citizens’); that had recently fallen down a steep gully and had died from a broken neck because of the fall.
Donald, the Wild Dog, knew he must eat as much as possible and quickly. For just about any other predator would kill him, eat the Wildebeest and probably eat him too.
As he is eating away, but still keeping a watch for other predators, he suddenly notices a Large Male Ape approaching him from about 20-yards away.
The Wild Dog knew very well that the Ape could kill him in a matter of seconds and that he should run away as fast as possible.
However, the Wild Dog does not want to give up this once in a lifetime meal (Greed took over his common sense); so he starts thinking quickly…
Just ten yards away from the Wild Dog, the APE (known as ‘Extremist’), yells out: “I will spare your life if you go away and allow me to feast on the Wildebeest.”
The Wild Dog Donald, ready to roll the dice, yells back with a huge lie:
“I killed this huge Wildebeest and if you get any closer I will kill you and eat you too!”
The Ape stops in his tracks; he is bewildered…can a Wild Dog kill such a large Wildebeest?
He had never heard of such…but if he did kill the Wildebeest, than the Wild Dog could easily kill me. Extremist, the Ape retreats…
The Wild Dog Donald, is shocked by his success and thinks that worked so well, I must LIE MORE OFTEN, for my Lies Distracts and Distorts all that is True, Right & Natural.
Other Predators also smelled the recent death of the Wildebeest and each time they approached to feast, they too were Scared Away, when Donald, the Wild African Dog spewed his LIES…
Soon, all species of the Animal Kingdom are at the scene watching in disbelief, as Predator after Predator are scared away from the dead Wildebeest by Donald’s Wild Lies.
They all mumbled: “This is not Right; it is Evil. It is not Natural, in fact it is Vile & Disgusting…it changes everything for the worst.”
Even though these Species knew the truth, they were too afraid to speak-up, for in THIS CURRENT Environment of the Animal Kingdom the vast majority of the species lived in constant fear.
AND, they feared the retaliation from Donald, if they spoke-up or protested.
Some even started to believe the Wild Dog’s Lies; for if, you hear a LIE so MANY times, for long enough; one begins believing the LIES…
BACK TO Extremist, the APE:
The Ape was upset and so pissed-off that he had to succumb to a small Wild dog; plus, he is hungry. That Wildebeest would feed him for two-weeks. So, the Ape began thinking of a plan…
The Ape developed a plan that involved the Female Leopard that lived in his territory, even though a Leopard feeds on Apes.
He slowly approached the Leopard’s Den and shouted out:
“I know where you can feast on a dead Wildebeest; are you interested?”
The Leopard, known as ‘Ms. Rust Belt’, replies: “Why should I believe you and just not kill & eat you? For your type always LIES…”
“For I am but a minor meal, good for maybe one meal; while a Wildebeest can feed you and your cubs for days.
I will take you to the recent kill and you can have the entire Wildebeest…just allow me to eat the African Wild Dog that is currently feasting on the Wildebeest, after you kill the Dog…”
The Leopard thinks: ‘It is nearly impossible for me to kill a full grown Wildebeest; plus the Ape is right, it would feed me and my cubs for days if not a week. And I can easily kill, a lone Wild Dog… maybe the Ape is telling the truth?’
“Ok, Ape, you have a deal. Take me to this dead Wildebeest. I do not like leaving my cubs alone for long periods of time, so jump on my back, for it will be faster to get us to our meal.”
Meanwhile, Donald the Wild African Dog was chowing down on the Wildebeest. He took a short break; just few seconds, to survey the area for Predators.
He was shocked to spot the Extremist Ape riding on the back of fast moving Leopard…
He knew he should run, but at this point, he had taken in so much of the Wildebeest that he could barely walk, less alone run.
Desperate, he quickly decided to fall back on LYING; a trait Donald had perfected since he was but young Wild African Dog.
When the Leopard got within 20-yards of Donald…
Donald yelled out: “Thanks Ape, for bringing me the Leopard for me to Kill and Eat…”
The Leopard came to a screeching halt and said, “Shit, how can this be true? A lone African Wild Dog cannot kill a Leopard!!!”
But, the Leopard, thought: ‘But what if he can? I have to think of my cubs, for they would perish without me.’ As FEAR took over her logic, reason, etc…
The Leopard sprinted away in total fear. While the Ape, followed her screeching out:
“We have a new Master, a new King: Donald, the African Wild Dog…”
The species watching this tragedy of LIES, all started to mumbled: “This is wrong, not right; it is all lies, something must be done now to restore The Truth, Sanity & Order.
Donald’s old pack was there; watching too and the new leader of the Pack (known as Moderate Woman), said to the other members of her GOP Pack:
“We should be very happy that we expelled this Lying, Incompetent Bully of a Beast, etc…for he would have destroyed our Pack and Future.” The others nodded in agreement (well, not all…).
Unbeknownst to all, a Pride of Lions had been watching all these crazy disgusting events.
The Pride was known as the ‘The Justice Pride” and their leader was a Seasoned Adult, Strong, Righteous Male, known as ‘Mueller’.
All the Justice Pride Members looked towards their Pack Leader, Mueller and said, “Will you fix this tragedy that has taken place? Or are you too FEARFUL of this Lone African Wild Dog…?”
Mueller look down at his Pride and said: “I am The King Of Justice and I fear NOT!!!
For I have I the Truth, Reason, Logic and FACTS on my side; so I have no reason to fear; for the TRUTH Always Wins.”
Donald noticed that a Huge Male Lion was approaching him; so he yelled out:” Yes, Lion come closer so I can kill & eat you too…”
Instead of scrambling away like all the other Predators had, the Lion (Mueller), just giggled, and said:
“I have a surprise for you” and rushed at the lone African Wild Dog.
Donald, seeing that his Corrupt Con Game & LIES were UP; tried to run, but was so fat from the feeding orgy that he stumbled as the Lion pounced on him and dispatch him to where Haters, Liars, Bullies, Racists, etc. go to.
The Justice Pride of Lions cheered for their Fearless Leader as did all the other Species that had watched this event.
After feasting on the dead Wildebeest, Muller and his Justice Pride started the trek to where the Leopard lived.
For Mueller’s job was not yet; he had to spread the REAL NEWS (The Truth/Facts about Donald, the Wild African Dog to all).
All the species had now gather around the Leopard’s Den where she and Extremist, the Ape rested just outside of; planning on how to take the dead Wildebeest away from Donald the African Wild Dog.
Mueller approach the Ape & Leopard and introduced himself telling them both he had REAL news for them.
The Leopard introduced herself as, ‘Ms. Rust Belt’ and the Ape said, “Just call me Extremist.”
So Mueller went into great detail about the Wildebeest = How it wasn’t killed by Donald the African Wild Dog, but instead had stumbled down a gully and had broken its neck…
Mueller the Male Lion and the King of the Justice Pride went into more detail about how Donald the African Dog had been pulling this type of Dangerous Vile Disgusting Evil Crap all of his life and that even his own Pack had exiled him, etc.
Finally, he stated, “Now you two know the Truth, the Facts and Reality.”
Ms. Rust Belt, the Leopard said, “I feel like an IDIOT and ashamed that I believed such evil lies. I will never again believe such lies…”
However, Extremist, the Ape, screamed out with an ugly hate face:
“Mueller is wrong, he is the LIAR; for I saw Donald the Wild African kill the Wildebeest. This news is FAKE NEWS, yes, FAKE NEWS, FAKE NEWS…”
Mueller, the Male Lion shook his head in disgust and roared out to all species,
“See what happens when a Corrupt, Compulsive Serial Liar Bully who is Incompetent, like Donald, when he Spews his Crap…others begin to believe him.”
As Mueller spoke, the Ape was running away, still screaming, “Fake News, Fake News, Fake News; Donald the African Wild Dog is still the True King.”
The new Leader (Moderate Woman) of the Wild African Dog Pack (The GOP Pack), turned to her Pack and said, “We too, should be ashamed of ourselves, for not kicking that Evil, Lying, Corrupt Donald out of our Pack sooner…”
The Pack all nodded in agreement; well, except for two…
The daughter of Donald with her new Spouse, said to him, “We will form a new pack known as ‘Supremacy’ and we WILL Preach the Policies of my Father, Donald the Great Wild African Dog….”
She did not realize that Mueller and Moderate Woman had overheard everything she had said.
Moderate Woman looked towards Mueller and they both nodded at the same time = “We have others to DEAL WITH.”
Mueller once again, felt disgusted; for Donald’s Evil, Lying, Corrupt and Racist ways had spread like an Epidemic throughout the Animal Kingdom. He knew there would be no REST for Him, or the Truth, or the Facts…
For he & others would be very busy dealing with this awful EPIDEMIC!!!

Meat composes only about 3% of the diet of chimpanzees, which tend to be the most voracious meat-eaters among the ape family. Of that 3% about 80% is the flesh of the red colubus monkey, and about 75% of those are infant or juvenile colubus monkeys. It is likely rare that they engage carrion, if at all.
The moral of the story here is that the ape may have done well to forage instead of concerning himself so much with an affair he might have been better off leaving alone. In gorging himself on wildebeest or wild dog he will likely wind up with an horrendous digestive discomfort, and in involving the other beasts of prey in the attempt to gain such a meal he subjected himself to an inordinate amount of trouble and risk for what may turn out to be a negative net gain. Why? All to engage h/herself in his/her own aberrant behavior.
Since apparently little to no reasearch was expended prior to writing this anaology, opponents of the story might perceive the tale to be one of falsehood and misdirective commentary. Overly ardent opponents might classify the whole things as a blatant falsehood and therefore label the well-intentioned writer a liar, which would be a shame...
That seems to be the way in America these days. Instead of working to build our own platform and proving to Americans what you and your party can do, we cast aspersions on our opponent, causing them to react in kind until the bewildered American public is left to wonder why they should vote for anyone. Perhaps this will eventually prove to be the harbinger of death for the political parties and politics of our nation as we know them today. In many ways, I hope so...

And, fwiw, BuzzFeed has an excellent reputation. From my own perspective, the president, whom I prefer to call "the Manchurian Canteloupe" these days, has been lying, stealing, scamming, cheating, denying, exaggerating, and, basically, acting the willfully ignorant self-centered boor for decades. No one has any reason to believe anything he says. |

No one has any reason to believe anything he says. Which, to me says much more about the state of American politics than Trump himself. How does a man with such a reputation reach the point of gaining the nomination of one of the only two political parties to have a snowball’s chance of being elected? Answer: Primarily because his opponent, who gained the same nomination from the only opposing party with a snowball’s chance was perceived as an even worse choice... Political scientists (according to several things I've read but can't pull up right now), have pretty much concluded that the single biggest reason for Trump was racism. That doesn't mean that other factors didn't matter, just that, of all the relevant features of the folks who voted for Trump, racism was predominant. Dislike for Hillary Clinton might have been second on the list. I don't know. But it is a shame for America that principles and policies had relatively little to do with it. Answer: Primarily because his opponent, who gained the same nomination from the only opposing party with a snowball’s chance was perceived as an even worse choice... Political scientists (according to several things I've read but can't pull up right now), have pretty much concluded that the single biggest reason for Trump was racism. That doesn't mean that other factors didn't matter, just that, of all the relevant features of the folks who voted for Trump, racism was predominant. Dislike for Hillary Clinton might have been second on the list. I don't know. But it is a shame for America that principles and policies had relatively little to do with it. My personal opinion is that America's greatest problem is our economic inequality and that neither Trump, nor Clinton, addressed the issue--AND that the GOP, at this point, has become an absolute menace to the middle class. Most Americans WILL NOT ADMIT IT, but racism, played a Critical Role in Donald becoming President (not the only reason, though...)

Trump won the election due to economic reasons. Hillary virtually ignored working class people in the final weeks of the campaign that was always going to be close. She neglected to travel to the parts of the rust belt that felt abandoned by government. She instead hung out with Beyoncé, Springsteen and other high profile folks, the upper one percent that had nothing in common with folks who suffered mightily during the financial crisis. Clinton came across as a globalist who had no interest in bringing back the jobs that had been their gateway to the middle class. Many of these people had voted for Obama- twice, but felt that Hillary and the Democrats took them for granted. Race, outside of immigration had little to do with Trump’s victory. The election was Hillary’s to lose and she obliged by alienating the very people who had been her husband’s base just twenty years before.
