Monster blast from Stanton!!! How does he get that much power the opposite way? WOW!!! What's amazing how effortless he made it look.

Its been awful this year with the constant rain. We haven't had enough rain in Chicago, although we got some today. It seemingly rains EVERY day here in Jersey.

We had a few drops today in Pueblo West. We may yet get up to 10 inches for the year.
The house of Inger is settled quite well here now, primarily because of my business and the way all the pieces are fitting together for me right now. I do still dislike the heat of summer and surprisingly have found the weather a tiny bit more humid here than I prefer. I assume that to be due to the reservoir that lies a few miles south of me.
I’m starting to eye Wyoming longingly. Perhaps another five years or so from now my wanderlust will kick in again and I’ll for a place where the summers top out at around 80. I love that the entire state of Wyoming only has 500,000 people. Last in population. Like Colorado, tons of microclimates, so you have to choose where you live carefully.
That said, the weather here is quite nice about 38-42 weeks of the year. The 10-14 are too hot. Seldom is it too cold for more than a few days at a time. Overall it’s not bad...

The only bad thing about wind here is that we get a fair amount of 70+ MPH storms, so it can be like a rainless hurricane. It’s hard on the roofs and really dries things out quickly. Evidence of rainstorms doesn’t last long...

This is sort of funny. During games the announcers get into talking about odd subjects during game delays. That’s what we’re doing too!!!

Glad you are happy out in Colorado inger! Sounds like the move has worked out well for you! We don’t do it enough, but being this close to the Rockies and taking day long week end drives is a real delight for us. We’ve decided that we’re going to start packing picnic lunches and stopping in the mountains where we have a beautiful view to eat for an hour or more. The air is so clean, the silence allows us to hear any sound that nature decides to elicit...

On the highway west of Cody Wyo, and east of Yellowstone park, there is a really small village called Wapiti....the view across that valley to the northward is one of the least heralded, yet most beautiful views I have ever seen....if I were as young as you, and wanted a remote location with more cold than hot days, I would be looking there......

Thank you, Utah. Cody is one of the areas that I have been eyeballing. The microclimate there indicates a shielding ofvthe area from the from the harshness of winter by the Bighorn Range, generally dry and less windy weather than in most of the state. Summers seem to typically peak with temps that may or may not “touch” 90. Having lived in an are like that here in Colorado nearly two decades ago, I know that if it does hit 90, it’s only for an hour or two, and when the sun goes behind the mountains you may find your self reaching for a long-sleeve shirt or light jacket. I like the name Wapiti, which is of course an old indian word for elk. That may indeed be at least a place for a weekend visit sometime soon. Probably not this year, but next we may be able to budget the time and money to make that drive. (I’ve done about all the travel my business can stand this year. Ruthie would like to see her sister in Spokane for Thanksgiving. We may do that, as a drive, and with some imagination I could probably route us through Wapiti. After all who is going to be shopping for solar PV on Thanksgiving weekend)?
