I feel bad for Walker, the guy is not a RF but Cashman has left this team shorthanded.

Bird might be the worst Yankee 1B I've seen at scooping balls out of the dirt.

Took a foul ball right off the chin, while catching. The umpire had to keep him from falling down. I missed that. Ruthie and I are out prowling around town, shopping and eating now. The last thing we need is Romine out for an extended time. Hope he’s okay...

"Aaron Boone said that the catcher passed the concussion tests and was seen by doctors. He was to be monitored after the game, but the Yankee manager was hopeful Romine would not miss more than Sunday’s game."

Great news. Romine was out on his feet for a few seconds, like he took a right hook right on the button. He definitely required a standing eight count.

Maybe if Andujar moves to 1B, Bird can split catching duties with Sanchez! He does have 3 games of catching experience in the Gulf Coast League and in high school! [img alt=" " class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/CXbXLVOkSvBJeDFNHBpz.gif"]

Wade Boggs was maligned for his defense early in his career but worked to capture a gold glove. Andujar has soft, quick hands and a big arm. Once his footwork improves, he could be a vacuum at third. Machado, while talented, is an overly emotional knucklehead...and expensive. I'd rather the Yankees spend their reset luxury tax cash on starting pitching and preserving a lockdown bullpen.

I think they also need a great #3 hitter like Machado to go with Stanton and Judge, a little right handed heavy, but still a great 2-3-4 trio.

Machado's best season is this one, so the Yankees would be buying REALLY high. While Harper has been inconsistent, he's put up numbers that Machado hasn't in terms of batting average, on base percentage, and slugging. Both are knuckleheads, though. If the Yankees want to open the bank vault for a GREAT number three hitter/player, then Mike Trout is the guy who gets my vote.

Hopefully the doctors he’s talking about aren’t the same geniuses who are taking care of Judge.
