what have others thought of the defensive play of Torres at SS?.....I haven't seen every play, but what I have he has looked good...….

He’s a bit better on the DP from SS, at 2B he’s slow on the pivot...His arm is not quite strong enough st SS, so between that and the lack of range there will be few heroic plays. In other words, he provides what should be expected from a depth piece. I’m content with him there. Torres is rangier, and with a dynamic arm. I think he’s also more likely to boot a ball over there, too. Nothing horrible, he’s young and will settle down there in time if he’s switched there... We’re going to get hot starting tonight. Watch and see... |

I find myself not hating that Voit is starting tonight. Then, of course he wraps into a double play...
Not so bad spotting Baltimore a couple of runs. We should score that many every inning against them, right? So we’ve four runs behind our expected pace. We need to score 6 in the third...
